Built in 2000, the Salam hotel is part of a peaceful estate decorated with flower beds, a lawn and a few young trees. This modern 5-floor building has been built from one block in the shape of a semi-circle. The interior Malian decoration adds pleasant touches to a rather plain lobby: Tuareg tables, a fašade for the main lift, carved wooden panels, wall lamps in the shape of antelopes, etc. It is a large entrance hall where most of the hotel's common areas are to be found: the reception desk (with rather slow service), the small comfortable bar somewhat below the level of the lobby, the efficient business centre, the small shops, the conference rooms, etc. On the first floor, guests can meet up in the evening in the American bar called the 'Pacha' and listen to a group of musicians present until 2:00 am. In the garden, adults can enjoy the hotel pool, while children can play in the paddling pool. Note that the gym is very small and the apparatus are in poor condition.
