The Grand Mercure Park Avenue is located around fifty minutes away from the airport of Suvarnabhumi, if you do not drive during rush hours!
The 221 rooms of the hotel are distributed on 18 floors. The standard rooms are very sober. They would benefit from having some coloured decoration items. The fair wood furniture matches the wooden floor's colour. The ceiling, very low on half the room, reduces the space of the room. Considering that the hotel is surrounded by higher buildings, there is not much light in the room. However, you will find a good level of amenities : TV, very discreet air conditioning, minibar with tea and coffee kit, international direct line, safe, hairdryer and room service 24 hours a day. As for the grey marble bathroom, it is not very spacious and is very dull. There are, however, welcome products.
The corridor-shaped lobby is all in black marble, which gives a very sober look to the entrance hall. However, the cone-shaped ceiling brightens a bit the place. The long reception desk is completely built in the wall. A few big fresh flower bowls decorate the place. The hotel's swimming pool is not very big but has the advantage of not having a direct vis-a-vis with the surrounding buildings. It is rectangular and surrounded only by a few wooden deckchairs.
In a country where you can taste excellent cuisine, it is a shame eating pizza ... The only restaurant of the hotel, the VivaVino, is an Italian restaurant open to the hotel's guests as well as to the general public. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from 11:30 am to 1 am. For breakfast but also for dinner, you can go to the Pool Side Cafe where you will be served international cuisine. The setting is nice and the black wood furniture gives some more elegance to the place.
The establishment is 500 m away from the sky train BTS Phromhong station. Note also that the hotel belongs to the Accor group.
