    Location 7.75 /10

The hotel is located in the lively centre of Belgrade, not far from Terazije square, from where you can follow the boutique-lined Knez Mihailova pedestrian street all the way to Belgrade's castle that overlooks the Danube, in the heart of Kalemegdan park. The airport is about 12 mi away and you should expect around a 40 minute-drive to get there.

    Accommodation 8.45 /10

Guest rooms are around 18 m², which is rather small, but is a feature shared by many hotels in Belgrade. It features wall-to-wall carpeting, a modern painting, a small bed, a sofa, a luggage rack, a large mirror and a desk. An ADSL cable and a keyboard are also provided, allowing you to surf the Internet for free. The amenities are relatively modern and include a flat screen cable TV (broadcasting 14 channels) and a mini-bar fridge filled with an elaborate selection of goodies. You can keep your valuables safe by storing them for free in the electronic safe in the wardrobe, but don't forget anything when you leave or you'll be in for an unpleasant surprise at the airport! The air-conditioning is very quiet and room service is available between 6:00am and 11:00pm. The bathroom is well-equipped and nicely decorated, mixing granite and Spanish-style tiling.

    Overview 8.20 /10

The Prag hotel occupies a lovely 6-storey building with a white, Art Deco-style façade that dates from 1929 and became a listed historical monument in 1936. Its first renovation was carried out in 1978, and the most recent was in 2009. You'll immediately fall under the spell of the warm and elegant bar in the lobby, decorated with several paintings of Prague, in an effort to incorporate the name of the hotel. The big TV screen here will enable you to keep up to date with the latest sporting events, which you can also watch in the pub, located in the basement and open from 5:00pm to midnight.

    Food and drink 8.20 /10

The elegant atmosphere of the lobby carries on through to the restaurant, which is pleasantly decorated and features a pretty black and white photo of Belgrade's old town. It provides the perfect setting in which to enjoy the buffet breakfast, served daily from 6:00am to 10:00am, or any other meal of the day for that matter, served à la carte throughout the day until 11:00pm. The room is divided in 2 sections: the snack bar can seat up to 50 diners, and the upper level can seat another 55. The restaurant serves international and local cuisine, and we obviously recommend the Serbian specialities. 'Kajmak' (ewe's milk cheese) mousse is traditionally served on 'proja' (small, flat waffles made from cornflour, rather like Turkish bread) as an aperitif, all washed down with a glass of Rakija, which comes in various varieties. Remember to say 'giveli' ('cheers') as you toast! The two local beers here are Lav ('lions' in Serbian) and Yelen ('deer' in Serbian). Don't forget to try the delicious cheesecake for dessert!
