Value for money
Opened in April 2011, the Long Beach takes its name from its huge beach that stretches out for nearly a mile. The property also has a 195 acre playground. It really goes without saying that there is enough room for everyone. Composed of around 500,000 plants, the gardens are simply splendid. The coconut trees that were growing here before the establishment was built are still the same ones; they were kept in safekeeping for the two years that it took to build the hotel. The Long Beach is incontestably a contemporary hotel that has rejuvenated the Mauritian hotel industry. Its decor is superb, from the lobby to the guest rooms to the restaurants. However, hopefully walking doesn't bother you, since some of the communal areas of some of the rooms are quite far. That being said, you can always borrow one of the hotel's golf carts.
