The Manos Premier is appropriately named, being the first of the Manos family's hotels, and is located in houses that were once the home of middle-class Brussels residents. The hotel's sophisticated, classic setting takes you back to the times of Louis XV and Louis XVI. It boasts a 2,000m² garden, though its main advantage is its real basement spa. This small, intimate hotel with 53 guest rooms is a lovely place to stay!

    Hidden away some fifteen minutes from Louise station, the Manos Premier is close enough to Avenue Louise for you to enjoy the district's lively atmosphere and style but is also a safe distance from all the accompanying hustle and bustle. Lots of shops and hotels have set up business here, on the Champs Elysées of Brussels, but there are not many restaurants and bars in the area.

    With only 53 guest rooms, the Manos Premier has gone more for quality than quantity. All in all, the decor is pretty similar throughout, and is not dissimilar to the communal spaces, but the furniture and decorative items differ from room to room. In contrast to these centuries-old antique objects, the amenities are fresh from the noughties, and include a large plasma-screen television, a radio alarm, a telephone, a safe, a mini-bar, individual air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi internet access, among other things. The marble-clad bathroom is usually provided with a bathtub (some rooms are provided with a shower), a magnifying mirror and Manos hospitality products. In addition to the standard and executive rooms, the hotel has five charming duplex units, some of which open onto the garden, allowing guests to enjoy a real breath of fresh air at the heart of the city!

    The Louis XV and Louis XVI furniture and antique objects in the lobby take visitors straight back to the elegance of the 18th century. What with the chandeliers, armchairs, rugs and fireplace, each room is both unique and true to the period in question. A few steps take you on to the reception, which is adorned with a superb sofa in the shape of an 'S'.
    When the hotel opened in 1974, it occupied a single building. Over the years, four other buildings have been bought and annexed, hence the labyrinthine feel of the corridors and the different levels on a given floor. Despite the age and size of the buildings, the hotel has installed a lift, as well as a real Oriental spa in the basement. With its whirlpool bath, sauna, hammam, gym and massage room, this well-being centre gives the hotel a real advantage in a city where most of the hotels offer nothing more than a gym. Finally, the Manos Premier also has a playground out in its immense garden, not to mention seven meeting rooms and a business centre.

    Food and drink 8.70 /10

    When you consider all of the many services on offer (spa, 2,000m² garden, playground for children, etc.), you could perhaps forgive the Manos Premier for neglecting the catering side of things. However, it has done no such thing, serving elaborately prepared dishes in a beautiful dining room with a glass roof overhead. The parquet floor, chandelier, flowers, old beige armchairs and terrace give the space a romantic feel. The Mediterranean cuisine served here is prepared by a Moroccan chef, with the dishes presented on the menu in a poetic fashion. For example, the 'Croquis' ('sketch') section features small chickens marinated in soy sauce, and in the 'Tableaux' ('picture') section there is fresh fish tagine.
    The bar, open every day from 4:00pm, has a gentle atmosphere and is decorated with a tasteful combination of classic furniture and African decor including leopard skin!

    The Manos Premier is due to be renovated during the course of 2011, but despite this, there are no planned closures at present. Guests have the use of a car park for £13 a day.

        Un hôtel absolument sublime proche du centre de Bruxelles. Très chic, il se compose de quatre maisons de maître qui ont été reliées entre elles. L'hôtel dispose d'un restaurant avec une belle verrière, d'un bar lounge, d'un grand jardin, d'un spa oriental composé d'un jacuzzi en pierre, d'un hammam, d'un sauna et d'une petite salle de repos, le tout décoré de colonnes, de carrelage mauresque, de lanternes... Il y a aussi une salle de fitness avec différentes machines.

        Le cadre, le confort et la beauté des chambres, le bon accueil du personnel, le spa, le petit déjeuner, les cocktails du bar lounge, la qualité du lit.

        Le tarif, si l'on n'a pas d'offre spéciale, est très élevé: de 350 à 550? la nuit et 20? le petit-déjeuner.

      If you fancy a break with the Manos family, look no further than the Stéphanie! This hotel is designed in the same way as the Manos Premier, and has the same stylish, intimate feel as its big brother, but it does not offer quite the same range of services. However, although the Stéphanie lacks a restaurant, a spa and a big garden, guests staying there are free to use the facilities in question at the neighbouring Manos Premier.

      Opened in September 2009, the Vintage welcomes its guests in a decidedly retro universe. However, although the common areas seem to be straight out of decades past, the 29 guest rooms offer a more refined and contemporary decor. In addition to the guest rooms, this small 3 storey establishment has a nice wine bar which is open 24/7. All in all, this fairly new hotel is a really nice place to stay!
