If you fancy a break with the Manos family, look no further than the Stéphanie! This hotel is designed in the same way as the Manos Premier, and has the same stylish, intimate feel as its big brother, but it does not offer quite the same range of services. However, although the Stéphanie lacks a restaurant, a spa and a big garden, guests staying there are free to use the facilities in question at the neighbouring Manos Premier.

    Located some fifteen minutes from Louise station, the Manos Stéphanie is close enough to Avenue Louise for you to enjoy the district's lively atmosphere and style but is also a safe distance from all the accompanying hustle and bustle. Lots of shops and hotels have set up business here, on the Champs Elysées of Brussels, but there are not many restaurants and bars in the area. It is worth noting that the hotel is only a five-minute walk from the facilities of the Manos Premier.

    The 55-room Manos Stéphanie has gone for the same prioritisation of quality over quantity as its big brother. Three categories are available: standard, executive and suite. Because the hotel building is old, the guest rooms are all unique, although the style of decoration is similar throughout, consisting of a carpet, matching bedspread, cushions and curtains, and stylish furniture. The overall look is classic but less elaborate than that of its colleague, the Manos Premier.
    The facilities may be worthy of a hotel in this category, but the Stéphanie still has some catching up to do with the other Manos hotels, as illustrated by the old television! Management did assure us, however, that plasma-screens were due to be installed in the near future. Three of the Stéphanie's rooms have a balcony, and one executive room and two of the suites have a terrace. Such advantages are rare in the capital!

    The main doors open onto a lobby that is as small as it is stylish. The classic design brings to mind the interior of the Manos Premier, although the Stéphanie cannot compete in terms of its size and its decor, which is less detailed than that of its colleague. A few steps lead to a corridor adorned with armchairs, pictures, mirrors and chandeliers on the way through to the breakfast room.
    The Stéphanie consists of two buildings (one 8 storeys tall, the other 4 storeys tall) with a courtyard in the middle. It has no relaxation facilities or restaurant. Guests are instead invited to use the facilities in the neighbouring Manos Premier, which include a spa with a whirlpool bath, a sauna, hammam, gym, massage room, and a playground and terrace in the immense garden... Also, although the Stéphanie does not have a complete business centre, it does provide a computer for the use of its amiable guests!

    Food and drink

    There is a bit of bad news for fans of good food: the Stéphanie deemed it unnecessary to include a restaurant in its plans. All it offers is a very charming little bar (with four tables) for guests to sit and enjoy a drink together. Having said that, you could always take your breakfast at the Stéphanie and enjoy your other meals at the restaurant in the Manos Premier. Here, elaborate dishes are served in a really pretty dining room topped with a glass roof. The parquet floor, chandelier, flowers, old beige armchairs and terrace give the place a romantic feel. The Mediterranean cuisine is prepared under the supervision of a Moroccan chef, with the dishes set out in poetic fashion on the menu. For example, the 'Croquis' ('sketch') section features small chickens marinated in soy sauce, and in the 'Tableaux' ('picture') section there is fresh fish tagine.

    The Stéphanie was opened in an old hospital building in 1992 due to the high demand for rooms at the Manos Premier. The carpet, paintwork and furnishings in the guest rooms have already been renewed, and the lobby is expecting to have its turn during the course of 2011. Guests have the use of a car park for £13 a day.

      Standing on Avenue Stéphanie, the aptly named Thon Hotel Bristol Stéphanie enjoys a prime location in one of the city's liveliest neighbourhoods. Opened in 1998, the establishment started renovations in 2007. After the completion of the lobby and conference rooms, the restaurant is scheduled to receive brand new walls. Despite the modern style of the common areas, only a third of the rooms have followed suit. The others are more traditional and break away completely from the rest of the hotel...

However, although the common areas seem to be straight out of decades past, the 29 guest rooms offer a more refined and contemporary decor.
