The Sporting is not exactly brand new. It was built in 2000 but its general exterior would lead you to believe that its foundation stone was laid down in the 80's. The hotel's main downside is the interior decorating of the communal areas. A few plastic deckchairs on beige-coloured slabs, multicoloured sunshades... it looks like the swimming pool found on a campground. Thankfully the beach is rather nice! Some renovations and a new set of furniture would make all the difference. Despite the presence of lawns, trees, flowers, and single storied buildings that boast a rather nondescript Mediterranean style, the entire complex is cruelly lacking in charm. However, the club boasts all the facilities you can think of, especially for families (shop, playground and children's club, tennis courts, beach-volley pitch, petanque, water sports...) and the restaurant and lobby are not without some quaint charm, with blue furniture reminiscent of life at sea.
The welcome is both laidback and professional. Activities and entertainment are provided by a team of 8 members who speak either English or French in addition to Italian.
