The Iberostar must be the most family-friendly hotel in the trendy resort of Becici, and is also the only one in this category to offer an all-inclusive formula and so many activities. In addition, it enjoys a beachside location, ideal amenities for guests both young and old, nice decor, and a full range of facilities! If only there were 100 rooms instead of 500, the whole place would feel a bit less cramped!

Location
7.25/10
The hotel is on Becici beach, a 5 minute drive from the historical centre of Budva. Allow a little over an hour for the drive from Podgorica airport, and a half hour drive along winding roads to get to Lovcen national park.
Accommodation
7.45/10
The 520 guest rooms are very clean and well laid out, although some of the furnishings, the carpet on the floors for example, don't really suit the hotel. The dark wood furniture and old (CRT) television do not sit very well with the 'seaside' location of the hotel but at least these facilities are in good condition and serve their purpose. The overall decor of the room can be summed up in a few words: simplicity, effectiveness and comfort (mini fridge, safe, products in the bathroom). However, when it comes to charm, think again! The bathroom is an adequate size and, just like the room, it is clean but lacking in character. We did like the fact that each room has its own little balcony, which is a real bonus on fine evenings.
Overview
7.70/10
This hotel, which consists of 3 tall concrete towers, is certainly not the most charming place in the world. The gardens partly make up for this though, with their pretty lawns and trees planted around the swimming pool, which is overlooked by a very pleasant bar with an attractive wooden terrace. During busy periods, you will probably have to fight your way to a deckchair. To overcome the lack of space around the pool, the hotel has created two additional spaces with deckchairs to cater for a greater number of visitors. None of this can compare with lounging around on the beach or cooling off in the sea just below the hotel, but you will have to pay for use of the deckchairs and towels! Outside of the summer season, the outdoor pool is not heated, so you will need to make for the indoor pool (free from 10:00am to 3:00pm), which is very pleasant but is also too small for the number of guests the hotel can accommodate. It is located next to the massage rooms and exercise machines (a dozen of which overlook the garden through a large picture window), and there is also a whirlpool bath that is perfect to relax in. Plenty of activities and entertainment are organised for guests of all ages. Young children aged 4 to 12 can spend time in the hotel's mini-clubs, either amusing themselves in a colourful little room or playing outside in the basic games area. Teenagers and adults have access to a basketball pitch, 3 tennis courts and a boules pitch, or can take part in activities like aquagym, dance lessons and other pastimes coordinated by a team throughout the day.
Food and drink
7.20/10
The hotel has an all-inclusive policy, which means the 3 daily meals and all snacks and drinks are included in the price of your stay. Two restaurants in two different buildings open during the main mealtimes, serving up buffet meals and some dishes which are prepared in front of you, such as grills. The food is basic but quite acceptable, and the meals are taken in rooms with low ceilings and without terraces. They are brightly lit but could be better ventilated and less noisy. If you prefer to grab a quick snack on the go, or prefer to stay in your swimming costume over lunch without worrying about the time, you can always head for the snack bar, which is open until 11:00pm. It opens out onto the garden and prepares pizzas, salads, pasta and sandwiches, all of which are included in the holiday deal, of course! The final two refreshment options are the two outdoor bars, one of which is by the pool and the other under the shade of the trees, next to one of the concrete towers. This one is particularly pleasant, because it is in the fresh air and offers some respite from the hot sun.
Beach
7.45/10
Becici beach is the highest rated beach in the area. This is not because it is absolutely amazing but because most of the other beaches in the area are pebbly, while this one is covered in sand - albeit of the coarse, yellow-brown variety rather than fine white powder. It is nevertheless a pleasant beach, well maintained during the summer season, with turquoise water and deckchairs available to hire. Unfortunately, this beach is not the most intimate or peaceful one on the coast, as you will be sharing the space with a few hundred other tourists who come here to be seen and enjoy bathing in the sea.

Bon hotel pour un séjour en famille. Beaucoup de familles sont présentent.
Advantages
Personnel sympathique et souriant.
Hotel très propre
Disavantages

Advantages
calme, propre, cuisine française variée et personnel compétant
This is a nice hotel if you like large and rather impersonal establishments. The interior decorating, level of comfort, location, and spa in particular, all live up to the hotel's 5 stars. However, this doesn't extend to the cuisine, which shows much room for improvement! No one is perfect though!
Now here is a 4 star hotel worthy of its rating! With so few of them about, this is something worth applauding! It really does have everything down to a tee, from the decor and the service to the comfort and the cuisine, not forgetting the superb views, the great location, and even lovely outdoor areas. What makes this hotel unusual, though, is its intimate casino, its very pleasant spa, and its seasonal entertainment for families. In fact, the hotel changes its identity every season.
The modern and luxurious Avala Resort stands just at the foot of the old town of Budva and is best-suited to business travellers and other jet set clientele. That is not to say that families aren't welcome, but they probably won't find what they're looking for in a holiday since there is nothing here designed to appeal to families. What you will have, though, is a choice between guest rooms and villas!
This imposing hotel certainly does not rely on charm to draw guests in. The Mediteran is just a few feet from the best beach in the area. It is a good option for families looking for a holiday by the sea who wish to stay in a hotel with a spa for mum and dad and a water park for the children.
