This hotel, as its name suggests, consists of 2 towers. One of these has just been renovated and the second is currently closed for improvements but will be reopened shortly. The best things about the hotel are its location, right in the heart of Cairo, and its incredible view of the Nile. The advantage of staying in the middle of the city is that you will be close to many of the tourist activities.

The Intercontinental Pyramids Park Resort can boast having the largest pool in Cairo and there is no doubt you will greatly appreciate it, not to mention the hotel's proximity to the pyramids. The hotel has 420 spacious guest rooms distributed throughout one 2 storey building and one 3 storey building, but neither has a lift. Every room has a view of the garden, except for the 6 suites overlooking the pool. The common areas and amenities (reception, cafeteria, restaurant and pool) are all in good condition. The corridors, however, as well as some other parts of the hotel, have been a little neglected. This hotel is perfect for a short stay if you wish to unwind in a peaceful setting, but don't expect to find yourself in the city centre.

This 5 star, sophisticated and luxurious hotel is ideally located at the heart of Cairo, about 15 minutes on foot from the Egyptian museum. The palace itself is full of history as it was once the home of French Emperor, Napolean III, and his wife, Eugénie de Montijo. The guest rooms are housed within the two towers, built later and located on either side of the palace. The beautiful gardens and the wide variety of restaurants, where you can try an array of delicious specialties, are the gems of the hotel.

The main advantage of the Pyramisa Cairo Hotel is undoubtedly its central location, close to the Egyptian Museum, the opera, Cairo Tower, and the Khan El Khalili souk. The neighbourhood also includes a vast selection of restaurants and shops where you can taste Egyptian specialties or buy anything you might need. The hotel doesn't count many Europeans among its clientele; the majority of guests at the Pyramisa is made up of locals, which will give you the opportunity of totally immersing yourself in this fascinating culture. The building is rather big but also quite old and a bit noisy. The marble-clad entrance hall is both majestic and huge, and the interior decor of the hotel is oriental in style. There is a huge difference between the rooms that have been renovated and those that are still waiting their turn. When you book, don't hesitate to insist on having a renovated room, as these afford the nicer view.

The hotel employees provide impeccable and personalised service and, as for the hotel itself, it offers wonderful facilities, fine restaurants, and a very charming decor. Everything has been thought out to ensure you want for nothing and that you have a pleasant and relaxing stay here.

The best thing about the Ramses Hilton, located in the heart of the city and on the banks of the Nile, has to be the view it affords of the river, which you can admire from certain parts of the hotel. The hotel occupies a triangle-shaped building, which is why the Nile is only visible from certain rooms. If you choose to stay here, you'll be close to all the touristic activities on offer, such as the Egyptian Museum and Cairo Tower. The VIP area is considerably different from the standard rooms and floors. Don't expect much in the way in luxury if you opt for a single standard room. There is doubt that this hotel does not satisfy the expectations one might have of a 5 star establishment. However, if you decide to stay in a suite or in a superior room, you'll enjoy a spectacular view of the Nile from your room or the lounge area open only to VIP guests. The facilities (the swimming pool is small and badly located) and cleanliness are not on the list of this hotel's strong points. however, it is well located in the centre of Cairo.

This is a truly modern, elegant and very exclusive 5 star hotel, complete with indoor plants and fountains, rivers running throughout the building, wooden bridges, decorative lighting, etc, not to mention some magnificent facilities and a highly personalised guest service. Despite the distance that separates it from the centre of Cairo, the Fairmont Towers (only 3 mi from the airport) is undoubtedly one of our favourite gems in the city.
