The Fiesta Garden Beach is located on the coast between Palermo and Cefalu. It is located on the seashore, 10 miles away from Cefalu. To reach the hotel from Palermo airport (located 50 miles away), allow one hour and 30 minutes.
The club has 275 rooms, 119 of which are housed in 18 bungalows. Choose one of them if you wish to have more privacy, but be aware that the view will be hidden by the vegetation. The rooms located in the central building are a bit more remote from the gardens. Anyway, you cannot see the sea from your sundeck or your balcony. As for the decor, the wrought iron furniture and yellow pastel walls bring a little joviality to the place. A bedside lamp with a terra cotta leg adds a small traditional touch. The facilities make your stay comfortable: air-conditioning, mini-bar, telephone and satellite TV. In the bathrooms - that could be more spacious - you will find a shower or a bathtub, a hair-dryer and welcome products.
A concrete three-level building built in 1995, the Fiesta Garden Beach is not really impressive on the outside. Its lobby, however, is spacious and welcoming, with its white plaster columns and lounges with pastel fabrics. But the main attraction of the establishment is its large park that houses bungalows and relaxation areas. No less than four pools (including one with salt water ) are located in the gardens; each one of them offers a solarium equipped with deckchairs and sunshades. Here you can vary your breaks by swimming or relaxing while enjoying a really fancy setting where pine trees, small palm trees and rose-bays grow.
Food and drink
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style in a room decorated with painted panels and pastel round tables. Relatively spacious and without a dividing wall, the room has a tendency to echo: once it is populated, the atmosphere becomes noisy. As for the food, the breakfast buffet is the most appetizing. It offers a selection of buns, pastries, cooked meats, cheese and fruits. At noon and in the evening, the dishes may disappoint a little: there is only one type of fish or meat and two kinds of pasta. You should try the starters that include Sicilian specialities like oil marinated bell-peppers and aubergine rings. The desserts are light, with ice-creams and fresh fruits, or a creme roll for the most greedy ones. A sundeck allows you to enjoy the view and the sun.
Spreading on 650 feet, the beach offers a large relaxing area however we deplore the fact that the sand is mixed with a lot of pebbles and rocks. You might want to use plastic beach sandals if you do not want to hurt your feet when returning to your towel. As for bathing, the water is a little whitish near the shore but it offers beautiful shades of turquoise on the horizon. Deckchairs and sunshades are provided for free. In return, if you want a mattress, you will have to pay ?3 (£2) per day. Windsurfing, pedalo, canoe and banana are offered for a fee.
Well adapted for families and for those seeking active vacations, the Fiesta Garden Beach is not located on the verge of the most beautiful beach on the island, but its facilities widely compensate for this low point. You can spend a week in this place without getting bored or feeling claustrophobic. The relaxation areas are large and well laid out to offer some intimacy; the sports offer a varied palette. However, it is a pity that you have to pay extra for the water activities.
The facilities are shared with the Fiesta Athenee Palace hotel, except for the restaurant and the pool.
