    The hotel is located on the seafront, in the hotel zone. The town centre served by many bus stands is located 8 miles away. It takes about 25 minutes to reach Cancun airport, which is 13 miles away.

    Accommodation 7.95 /10

    The rooms, covering an area of 452 ft², overlook either the sea or the lagoon. They are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, cable television and telephone with direct international dialling and provides a good level of soundproofing. The walls in white roughcast, coated with sand and tinted turquoise explode with electric blue textiles. But all looks rather chic. The safes are paid. There is no balcony or terrace or bar or refrigerator. The bathrooms have a bathtub with a shower.

    The hotel built in 1985 represents two truncated pyramids. They are situated perpendicularly to the sea. Thus, the space between them lets the rays of the sun penetrate until sunset on the lagoon. The main swimming pool, in octagonal shape, includes two basins connected by a waterfall. The ruins of the temple del Alacran dominate the beach. Its construction dates back to five centuries. Huge sculptures made by the artist Sebastian enrich the entire space.

    The restaurant La Veranda prepares a rich buffet of delicious local specialities and international cuisine for breakfast and dinner. It serves also a la carte at noon and in the evening. It costs an average of 80 pesos for a dish. The hotel organises a themed evening every day. Mexican, Caribbean, Italian, seafood, barbecue, chef, tex-mex. Its vast hall surrounded by a bay window opens from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Take a seat in the restaurant Langosta, a snack bar that runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    The large public beach of Cancun stretches out at the foot of the hotel. Its sand is clean and fine. The turquoise blue of the Caribbean Sea spreads beyond the horizon. Here and there, the transparent waters against a backdrop of white sand show you flocks of small fish. But there you mainly swim and practise water sports. The beach is guarded. Several sunshades with roofs of palm leaves provide a shaded area and the deck chairs are not so many.
