    Accommodation 9.20 /10

Very generously sized, the 326 rooms and suites of the Table Bay offer unrestricted view of the city or the Atlantic Ocean, depending on their orientation. Decorated by Trisha Wilson in a refined, although uncluttered, Victorian style matching the rest of the hotel, they offer all amenities: adjustable air conditioning, satellite television, radio, two direct telephone lines, minibar, electronic safe. The large, well-thought bathrooms include a tub, shower, separate toilet (with a door). You will find a robe, slippers, and welcome toiletries with the Table Bay Hotel label. Hair dryer and make-up mirror are also at your disposal. Service is worth a five star hotel: newspapers delivered in the morning, bed turn-down, 24 hour room service, etc.

    Overview 9.20 /10

Opened in 1997, the Table Bay displays discreet luxury in a spectacular view that can be seen from anywhere: Waterfront and Robben Island on one side, Table Mountain on the other. A privileged location for a hotel built in the Victorian tradition, as shown by its impressive ochre facade. A subtle mix of British and colonial atmospheres, the lobby is a very pleasant meeting place with reception desk, bar, restaurant, tearoom, and smoking room. Large bay windows allow for plenty of natural light... and the view of Table Mountain. This hotel includes an excellent fitness centre offering an impressive selection of treatments such as hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, shiatsu, holistic massage, manicure, etc. Additionally, you will enjoy a heated sea water pool, with a teak deck equipped with chairs, and an outdoor jacuzzi. Clever: Its location on the first floor allows clients to discreetly access it through elevators, without having to go through the lobby. The Table Bay is also suitable for business trips and offers large conference rooms with the latest equipment, and a business centre. Shopping enthusiasts have direct access to the mall adjacent to the hotel.

    Food and drink 8.95 /10

Revamped, refurbished, then renamed, "The Atlantic" restaurant is now a renowned address in Cape Town. This large, elegant room, extending to a vast outside patio from which you can admire the view of the harbour, can accommodate up to 150 people. Sober decor, preserved privacy, excellent service. You will be enchanted by the creative gastronomy, inspired by South African tradition, offered by chef Grant Cullingworth. Without doubt, his bell pepper panacotta with pesto and walnut sauce, or grilled fish with citrus chutney and string beans will be a delight to the most delicate palates. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy a selection of more than 6,000 bottles of South African wines. Simple and fast dishes are also served for lunch at the "Conservatory" where dinner is also served a la carte. Tea time with music is served in the lounge, with a superb view of the harbour.

    To know

The Table Bay is a member of 'Leading Hotels of the World', the very select listing of the world's best hotels. Even though it is located on the seashore, this hotel is not a seaside hotel per se. To enjoy the beach, you will have to drive, or take a bus or taxi.
