Open in 1997 and renovated in 2006, the Jardines de Nivaria hotel has 5 buildings of 3 to 6 storeys painted dark brown and containing 267 double rooms, 95 suites (61 junior suites, 32 suites and senior suites, one family suite and two royal suites). Similarly, 5 rooms have been specially appointed for disabled people. Each building is named after a region in Tenerife: Adeje, Taganana, Ucanca, Masca and Guajara. This elegant art-decor style hotel blends perfectly in the traditional Canarian architecture, mixing classical and local architecture with its refined wooden furniture and its several antique objects and other works of art. The hotel's masterpiece is a stained-glass dome containing over 12,000 hand-made pieces jutting out over the main building. This cupola represents all the stars and constellations in the Tenerife sky, which can be seen in the night on 21 March, during the equinox. At the foot of the hotel, guests can enjoy the fresh water swimming pool, the warmed sea water swimming pool, a pool for children, an external jacuzzi, a golf practice and a giant chess game, all of this surrounded by a pleasant tropical garden with its variety of plants and flowers. Rocks, waterfalls and palm trees make up the setting. Clients can even have bananas if they want! Note: a top-quality fitness centre with an aerobics hall and an Aequor spa, with massages, care, hammam and sauna. Branded cosmetic products are used such as Thalgo.
