At the top of O'Connell Street, Cassidys occupies three Georgian houses and numerous extensions. Despite being well located, simple and functional, Cassidys is a real maze to get around, lacks style and offers very few services.

The hotel is right in front of the Gate Theatre, at the top of O'Connell Street, the Bond Street of Dublin. A short walk will take you to Dublin's river, the Liffey, and various shopping districts. The international airport of Dublin is just 7 mi away.
Accommodation
6.95/10
All 113 rooms are identical and decorated in a rather standard fashion. They all have light brown wall-to-wall carpets and restricted storage facilities. The standard double room is about 160 sq feet and includes a long wooden desk and comfortable bedding. The views over the rooftops or the street are not particularly interesting. The rooms have a big plasma screen television, free Wifi access, tea and coffee-making facilities, an electronic safe and a phone. There is also individual air-conditioning in half of the rooms. The 26 more spacious 'Executive' rooms are modern in style compared with the others. A third of the rooms have showers, and the rest have bathtubs. The blue-grey tiled bathrooms have an angular layout and no hair-dryer or basic hospitality products. Room service is available from 11:00am until 10:00pm.
Overview
7.45/10
Cassidys was opened in 1995 and renovated in 2006; it occupies three Georgian houses and their modern extensions, the last of which was built in 2004. The exterior does not reveal anything of the maze that lies within and the bizarre layout of the place. The new building has five floors, whereas the older buildings have four. The reception is parallel to the street. It is a relatively large, rectangular area with interlaced carmine wall-to-wall carpet, big brown seats and wood-paneling. Behind the reception area there is a bar that is also decorated with dark woodwork, and furnished with brown armchairs. A point to note: music is constantly playing in this hotel. As far as facilities are concerned, there are five fitness machines in a room with light parquet flooring and mirrors that make it look more spacious. The atmosphere, however, is stuffy and unpleasant.

The pleasant hotel restaurant, which gives both onto the road and the back of the hotel, can accommodate up to 86 guests and its high leather chairs are extremely comfortable. It is built over different levels with four areas that open onto each other and include a small extension for the buffets. Breakfast is served from 7:30am until 11:00am and the guests can choose from a menu that offers continental and Irish breakfasts, with cereals, juice (from a vending machine), 6 hot dishes, etc At the bar-end of the restaurant, meals are served from 12.30 pm until 9.00 pm. The lack of natural lighting in the bar is compensated by numerous wall lamps. Unlike in other Dublin hotels, the menu offers a wide choice of dishes, most of which can be found in various restaurants in town. It remains the same for lunch and dinner: you can indulge in pasta, hot sandwiches, various meat dishes, three sorts of fish, a choice of starters, and what's more, your children are not forgotten either!
To know
A laundry service is available on weekdays. The car park is free of charge.
You must pay for Wifi access and the use of the hotel's computer.
Accommodation tip: There are 10 rooms without double-glazing that look directly out onto the street, so if you want some peace and quiet, choose one of the others!

Hôtel très bien situé, à 10 mn à pieds du centre ville de Dublin, propre, calme. Petit déjeuner varié et de bonne qualité. Hôtel vraiment très bien ! A recommander !
Advantages
Très bien situé. Petit déjeuner idéal, copieux et de qualité pour bien commencer la journée.
Disavantages
On entend parfois les gens qui rentrent des pubs au petit matin mais c'est quand même très tranquille !

This "Small Luxury of the World" is a charming hotel, very well located in a calmer area at the heart of the city. The rooms are romantic and very comfortable, the welcome is friendly, the food is delicious, the concierge is keen to please and the whisky bar is classy. All of this makes for a very popular establishment.
This little hotel occupies a nice Georgian residence and belongs to the Manor House group. Ideally situated, it enjoys a central location but in quiet surroundings! The common areas are full of charm and in some cases boast a lovely Georgian style. Obviously, one would expect to find the same elegance in the rooms, but unfortunately this is not the case.
Located on Temple Bar's busiest street, this very popular hotel is ideally situated for all revellers. It even boasts a favourite weekend clubbing haunt. Others are more likely to be put off by the noise.
The Morgan stands at the heart of the unmissable Temple Bar, renowned for its lively nightlife. It is one of the city's most trendy establishments where it is great to stop in, have a drink, dance, or even stay. A highly contemporary and stylish boutique hotel that you're sure to fall in love with, unless the noise of Temple Bar gets to you first!
This large, handsome and classic hotel is partly housed in the building of a former bank opposite Trinity College. Some wonderful traces of its past are still present in parts of the hotel, like the great hall where events are organised and the bar in the former strongroom, where guests can sip on award-winning cocktails. The delicious afternoon tea is another unmissable aspect of any stay in this highly comfortable establishment.
Verdant countryside stretches for miles around. The Carton House's estate also stretches over two superb and very popular golf courses. This large Palladian house, Irish in style, blends old and modern features perfectly. The original building was actually the Duke of Leinster's summer residence, but now houses 18 magnificent suites.
Behind the big, tall bay windows of the luxurious and comfortable Fitzwilliam Hotel, a member of the "Preferred Hotels and Resorts" group boasting an ideal location in front of St. Stephen's Green, lies a very stylish and contemporary interior, replete with designer fittings. Apart from it's beautiful and cosy guest rooms, the real advantage of the establishment is its restaurant, which is run by Ireland's top chef from 2009.
A brand new, functional and clean pied-a-terre: this is a possible description of the hotel located near O'Connell Street. Like all the other parts of the hotel, the beautiful bedrooms are immaculate.

Tucked away in a posh residential area in the south of Dublin, the Four Seasons lives up to the group's famous reputation for luxury. While there is not much to do in the surrounding area, the hotel itself has plenty to fill both guests' days and evenings, whether it be in the restaurant, one of the three bars, or the superb spa and swimming pool. Unless you're in Dublin on business, in which case note that the hotel has no fewer than six meeting rooms.

A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, The Morrison was not built in honour of the famous rock singer Jim Morrison, but it does pay tribute to Irish musicians, bands and artists. Reopened in February 2013 after 10 weeks of refurbishment, The Morrison now boasts a designer interior - a rare choice of decor in this city where most hotels are decorated in a more classic style. Add to this the delicious restaurant and the art gallery, and The Morrison is unquestionably a safe bet in Dublin.

The beautiful 5-star Dylan Hotel was not built in honour of the famous rock star. No, the Dylan simply chose to take up residence in the street of the same name. Now a small hotel with 44 guest rooms, the Dylan was first a hospital, then a hotel, before becoming the Dylan Hotel. It has been welcoming guests into its entirely unique, modern and elegant interior since 2007. Far from being a chain hotel, the Dylan has a bar, restaurant and lounge, but unfortunately no well-being centre.

The Clarion, opened in 2001, is a pleasant modern hotel without much character. It is ideal for fans of hotel chains or, more generally, those looking for a good well-being centre! Apart from the massage rooms, sauna and hammam, the hotel also has a lovely large swimming pool, which is quite rare for the Irish capital. Neither too big nor too small, the Clarion Hotel enjoys a privileged location at the heart of the city centre, on the banks of the River Liffey.
