    Location 6.45 /10

The hotel is located on Dublin's north bank, not far from the Writers Museum; a very fashionable restaurant called 'Chapter One'; the famous art gallery 'Hugh Lane' and O'Connell Street, the Bond street of the capital. Dublin's international airport is approximately 5 mi away.

    Accommodation 7.95 /10

The 126 rooms are immaculate and very pleasant but they don't have the most interesting views. The room categories divide into rooms with a double bed, twin beds, a king-size bed, a double bed plus a single bed and two quadruple rooms. Guests in all rooms benefit from an intimate setting with very homogenous decoration and amenities, including comfortable bed linen, a wood and leather headboard, a stripy carpet (red, orange, etc), two brown leather armchairs, a dark wood storage cabinet, numerous lamps, a large-screen television fitted on the wall (9 channels), a trouser press, tea and coffee-making facilities, a telephone, individual air-conditioning, an iron and an ironing board. As for the bathrooms, their interior includes white and cream tiling, with a large mirror, a hair-dryer and a Dove hospitality product dispenser.

    Overview 7.45 /10

Open since 2007, this hotel is a 5-floor building located on the corner of two busy streets. The reception area consists of three little yellow counters in an open, elongated hall on the ground floor, alongside the restaurant and the bar. The large hall is divided into two parts by wooden panels, bench seats, tables and chairs. Music is constantly playing here, which can contribute to creating a pleasant atmosphere, but may also be tiring for some. Two sides of the reception area have bay windows which let plenty of natural light in, but the view of the busy street is not very interesting. The hotel, which has a lift, does not have any other communal areas other than the reception.

    Food and drink 6.95 /10

The hotel's only restaurant and bar are both on the ground floor in the same area. Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 10:00am on week days and from 8:00am to 11:00am at the week-end, as an Irish and continental buffet. A micro-wave oven is also at your disposal if you need to warm up your food. A dispenser provides two types of fruit juice for breakfast. A quick lunch is served at the restaurant between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, whilst dinner is served from 5:30pm to 9:00pm with a little more choice. Open until 11:00pm, the bar set at one end of the hall on the ground floor is basic and bland.

The Best Western Academy Plaza is a safe bet in a good location to visit the town and have a good night's sleep. Although its style is resolutely modern, with facilities to match, there is unfortunately hardly any natural light in the various spaces, which are consequently rather yellowish.

A former residence of the Saint George family, this eponymous hotel is little more than a perfectly decent guesthouse offering small, but clean and functional guest rooms. It is housed in a beautiful Georgian building, which also houses a Mauritian restaurant, and inside, you can really appreciate the mouldings, high ceilings and staircases which characterise the Georgian style.

Add to this the delicious restaurant and the art gallery, and The Morrison is unquestionably a safe bet in Dublin.
