You can expect a good standard when you book a Hilton hotel, and Edinburgh's Grosvenor doesn't disappoint. The hotel is spacious, clean and professional, although unfortunately lacking in character. A stylish and modern interior works well within the terraced Georgian townhouses, and design is classic and elegant throughout but original features have unfortunately been lost. The best thing about the Grosvenor is the size of the rooms. Although room shapes vary (this is one of the charms of the old building), many bedrooms boast high ceilings and large bay windows.
