The Cristovao Colombo, the main restaurant of the hotel, overlooks the swimming pool. Spacious, airy and decorated in warm colors, it offers a buffet for breakfast and a fixed menu at dinner. The Madeira Palacio also has two a la carte restaurants, the Vice Rei and the Terrace, whose decoration reminds of the rooms ( varnished wood and old pink patterns). The dishes served here are gastronomy specialities of the island that you should not miss, like sword fish with banana, or international recipes like beef steak with pepper sauce. The dishes are nicely cooked, no doubt about it, but the careful service must also be mentioned. You can choose, for example, the bread among several varieties sympathically presented by the table staff. Pampering without ostentation. Allow about 15 &euros; per dish. The offer is completed by the Gabezo bar near the pool, the Colonial Bar with music on stage, and the Al Fresco tea house.
