Designed by the famous Singhalese architect Geoffrey Bawa, the Lighthouse was built directly on a rock in 1997. On arrival, you will imagine you are at the entrance of a fort because everything is in stone. The reception hall opens on to a garden, and you can admire historical scenes in the ceiling, on colored batiks. To reach the floors above, you will have to take a monumental staircase made of wood decorated with wrought iron characters, recounting the island's history. The hotel is a harmonious blend of wood and concrete. The main bar makes it possible to relax while admiring the ocean from the terrace. Billiards, television and board games will make you spend pleasant moments with friends. Ideal for a good swim, the 2 large swimming pools offer a view of the ocean. A pool bar serves cocktails and snacks through out the day. The Serena Spa is hidden beneath the hotel. A huge swimming pool faces the heavy wooden doors. You will find massages, hammam, Jacuzzi and various treatments there.
