The San Blas Reserva aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and is therefore designed to make tourists environmentally aware. This is why it was built right next to a protected nature reserve. This hotel complex, owned by the Spanish hotel group Sandos, is huge and is home to 8 swimming pools covering an area of 1 400 m² (two are reserved for children, two are paddling pools, two are heated, and two infinity pools that face the sea, one of which is 1.9 metres deep)!
The hotel opened in December 2008 and includes some 331 rooms spread throughout three ochre-coloured buildings each 5 storeys high. The decor and general layout have been cleverly executed, the patios here filled with flowers and the green spaces planted with palm trees and pools and cascades dotted here and there. You can catch a glimpse of the sea, from the cool and well-lit lobby, but for a better view and a nice cocktail, head for the bar's panoramic terrace, which opens from 10:00am to 11:00pm and puts on light musical entertainment.
The 8 swimming pools are open from 8:00am to 7:00pm, and boast a fantastic layout, surrounded by numerous deckchairs, parasols and showers, providing a very relaxing setting. Guests can be provided with towels here for free. In terms of activities, there is a beach-volley pitch, a climbing wall, a standard gym that is open 24/7 (your room's keycard will give you access), a spa centre, as well as pool, football and tennis tables, an archery range, and a multisports field where you can play football, handball and basketball.
