    Location 7.13 /10

Eden Rock is perched on a rock at the heart of the Saint-Jean bay. The Gustavia aerodrome is 2 minutes' drive away.

    Accommodation 9.20 /10

Cabins (15 m²) and suites inclusive (50 m² with terrace), the hotel has 16 rooms whose size is not really significant. Each in effect has a real personality, unique decoration and a charm all of its own. 11 lodging units are located on the rock and 5 on the beach. The "Captain's Cabin", for example is a nest spread for lovers, an accurate replica of a ship's cabin in dark teak, with mottled windows and ports, offering a view of the sea and the terrace area. Another lodging unit, the "Wind Hut", is a small hut of Creole origin whose bathroom is located opposite it, in another mini-hut all in stone and wood. Cute. Very private, the "Treasure Suite" (48 m²) has an access opening on to the beach, a bathroom built in the rock, period and baroque furniture including a canopy bed.
Garbo's regulars will choose the suite she previously enjoyed and that bears her name.
Each room has air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, wireless telephone, satellite television, video tape recorder, a compact disk player and a small collection of CDs, safe, well stocked mini-bar, bathtub or shower, a hair cloth, hair-dryer, Hermès guest supplies, beach towels, and the customary attention of Relais & Châteaux (bed room slippers, umbrella...).

    Overview 8.70 /10

Situated on a volcanic rock on the waters of Saint-Jean bay, Eden Rock grew out of the foundations of the former property of aviator Rémy de Haenen, the first person to have landed on the island in the forties. Since 1995, an English couple have been running this establishment comprising several buildings, built in stone and green fir wood reminiscent of "Canada's cabins" that dot the promontory.

    Food and drink 9.70 /10

Four restaurants two of which operate bars. For lunch and snacks, you can either go to the Michael's, a bar serving oysters directly from the mainland (the hotel's private plane transports them immediately they are delivered by international flight in Saint-Martin, 15 F/2.29 Euros per oyster), to the "Sand Bar", a beach restaurant, which excels in foods processed from fish and fresh spiny lobsters straight from Eden's retaining pond, or to the "On the Rocks", a tapas bar, with its assortment peckable salted dishes. "The Rock" serves lunch at the summit of the rock on which the hotel sits. A gastronomic establishment, its cuisine is sophisticated (ravioli of scampi in smoked fat or truffled roasted beef tenderloin with fried vegetables) in a lounge overlooking the Atlantic. It has a mind-blowing wine cellar: almost 3 000 bottles of purely amazing bru. a plate costs between 38 and 46 Euros.
Breakfast menu: fresh fruit juice, bread and home-made jam, delicatessen and French cheese. .

    Beach 9.20 /10

Eden Rock is located on the Saint-Jean bay, one of the island's most beautiful beaches and definitely the liveliest. The commercial establishment has reserved a comfortable perimeter of white sand on which it has set up deck-chairs and parasols at the foot of its beach bar. A water-sports centre (windsurfing and kayaking) is located nearby.
