Le Toiny is one of the two Relais & Châteaux hotels in Saint-Barth. Overlooking the Atlantic from its hill-top location, it is perfect for a total isolation in one of the 15 villa-suites offering impeccable comfort.
Le Toiny is located in the Petit Cul de Sac area, on the eastern tip of the island. Gustavia and its small aerodrome are a 15 minute drive away.
What could possibly be lacking in Le Toiny's suites? They have everything, from plasma TV screens to wireless phones and exercice bikes. All these fit into a 807 ft² space beautifully decorated with Martinique colonial-style dark wood furniture, ?toile de Jouy? motifs, comprising a high canopy bed with a very very thick mattress. Light parquet floor. As for comfort, note the following: adjustable air-conditioning and ceiling fan, safe, a heavily furnished mini-bar (up to packages of cigarettes, Hédiard aperitifs, chocolate bars), Harrod's tea and coffee kit, radio set, fax, small American kitchen perfectly equipped for example with an ice tray, satellite TV, DVD, three phones, shower and bath in the spacious and shiny bathroom all in white tiles, Saint-Barth hotel guest supplies, hairdryers, bathrobes, beach towels, slippers, face flannels, dental floss? And what about the comfortable 270 ft² terrace facing the Atlantic? It is protected against unauthorized onlookers by a gate and its small red flag which, when raised, prohibits entry. It has a small private 194 ft² swimming pool with beautiful floor tiles, external shower, deckchairs, parasols and lounge area with white cozy cushions, air mattresses, shrimp nets, snorkelling material and? that must be all.
Twelve suites can accommodate up to 2 to 6 people; each suite has 3 rooms.
24 hour room service.
Le Toiny, member of the Relais & Châteaux chain of hotels, comprises 15 villa-suites of Creole-style, spread over a vast area on the hillside. All of theml overlook the Atlantic. Below there are the restaurant decorated in elaborate colonial style, facing the ocean and a large overflowing swimming pool, and a panoramic terrace with beautiful tiling.
Same colonial style as in the rooms in Le Toiny's unique restaurant, the Gaïac, a long hall facing the swimming pool and the Atlantic. There is moderate but sophisticated decoration, white walls, and beautiful tiles. The menu is refined of French inspiration and Creole touches. You are served to you on a tray with a dome lid, meat is sliced at the table. Lighter dishes at midday. Very nice set of wines with 300 varieties, notably the 1959 Mouton Rodschild. Wine prices vary between 45 euros and 7000 euros for the Haut-Brion Pétrus. A pianist plays every evening.
Le Toiny hotel has no beach and that of Toiny which it faces, is strewn with cays, coral reefs, rather than sand. With abundant winds, it is recommended for surfing. Swimmers will get to the splendid sandy beach in Grande Saline within 7 minutes by car.
Le Toiny offers quality and highly customised services. The restaurant is one of the best on the island.
