A modern hotel standing on a beautiful, fine sand beach, the Paradis Palace boasts almost all of the characteristics of a Tunisian 5 star hotel but chooses to rank itself as a quality 4 star hotel instead. Bedroom or bungalow? The choice is yours! Great effort is made for pampering you to the fullest: lush greenery, a contemporary decor, recent facilities, a great choice of activities, etc.

    Location 6.75 /10

The Paradis Palace is located halfway between the old district of the town of Hammamet and Yasmine Hammamet and La Marina harbour (a very modern and lively district that abounds in shops and leisure centres). Each of these tourist attraction hubs are approximately 4 or 5 mi from the hotel. As for the beach, it couldn't be any closer, since it is an extension of the hotel: this private beach, reserved for hotel guests, is directly joined to the outdoor pool without having to walk across any streets. Another piece of information worth bearing in mind: Tunis airport is 40 mi from the hotel and the aerodrome of Sousse-Monastir is 50 mi away.

    Accommodation 7.00 /10

Guests have a choice of 200 double rooms in the main building or 303 bungalows scattered around the 15 acre park. These small studios - when they are on the ground floor - open out to a lovely little private garden. The interior isn't bad either! Wood and rattan furniture, a bathroom with an corner bathtub opening out into the room... However, there is a curtain that offers you the choice of some privacy. As for the guest rooms, they provide every amenity you would expect from a 4 star hotel and more: a safe (available for a fee), a stocked minibar, a telephone, central air conditioning, etc. The layout and decor, although pleasant, are somewhat disappointing, when compared to the bungalows, but the view of the Mediterranean Sea makes up for this very slight inconvenience.

    Overview 7.00 /10

You would have to be pretty clever to guess the exact age of the Paradis Palace! Built in 1973, this former 3 star hotel now boasts an entrance as robust as any, thanks to monumental renovations carried out in 2007 (during which it was closed for 8 months). Dignified and imposing, the lobby welcomes its guests in a most contemporary setting, with a shiny floor, neat sofas buried under a mound of cushions, a large reception counter, and huge chandeliers hanging under a dome. The Arabic and colonial styles of the interior design make for a very refined Tunisian ambience. However, beware of the draughts caused by the automatic doors! The common areas were renovated from top to bottom in 2007 at the same time as the 'rookies' were being built: a terrace, a lounge, a wellness centre, etc. Considered one of Hammamet's top spas, the latter is equipped with 11 wet treatment booths, 10 massage booths, and a superb hammam. There is one little downside to this: you will need to walk across the reception and the car park to get to it... As for the mini-club, no need to be jealous! 5 different clubs take care of children in function to their nationality.

    Food and drink 7.00 /10

Just like its Tunisian friends, the Paradis Palace houses a buffet restaurant. You will find an assortment of meats, fish, and pasta prepared before your very eyes, thanks to the very fashionable 'show kitchen' trend. Various time slots allow you to have your meals when it suits you best: 6:00am to 10:00am for breakfast, 10:00am to 11:00am for a late breakfast, 12:30pm to 2:00pm for lunch, 3:00pm to 5:00pm for snacks, and 6:00pm to 9:30pm for dinner. You will have to wait a little to order your beverages and anyone not staying on the all-inclusive basis will have to pay for their drinks separately.
In this large dining room, which is both classic and bright, 3 theme nights a week are organised to spice things up in the buffet: Tunisian, oriental, and Italian. The second restaurant is basically just a large barbecue where meat and fish are grilled over a wood fire. However, pizzas and snacks are also available, as well as all sorts of drinks. As a general rule, the dishes are tasty, even though they are far from being gourmet material. There is also a snack bar open in high season at the beach.

    Beach 7.25 /10

Accessing the hotel's private beach is very easy since the pool's enclosure is directly linked to the beach. In this environment composed of white sand and clean water, guests can relax on the hotel's complimentary deckchairs at any time of the year.
A water sports club adjacent to the hotel offers a wide range of leisure activities for guests to take advantage of the sea. Jet-skiing and scuba diving are not included in the price of the hotel stay. The Paradis Palace does organise some water sports activities for its guests for free though: kayaking, pedal boats, and windsurfing, for example. You will also be able to play beach soccer and beach volleyball with right by the sea.

    To know

Do not miss out on the balneotherapy centre that is part of the hotel complex: its facilities are sensational and the service is flawless. A daily shuttle takes guests to the major golf courses in the area free of charge: Citrys and Yasmine.
