This beautifully designed 12-storey building dating back to 1930 was completely rebuilt in 1997, and now features elegant white and gilt decor and stylish furniture. All that's missing is a touch of warmth in these otherwise rather cold surroundings. The rather large swimming pool on the first floor is the perfect place to cool down when the heat starts getting to you, though space is of the essence on the small terrace surrounding the pool. There are also three weights machines shaded from the sun for guests to use, but with the outside temperatures they're used to here, it's difficult to keep at it for very long!
The spa is nothing special, given that the foot massage room consists of little more than a couple of ultra-kitsch 70s/80s armchairs, and everything here incurs an additional charge.
Gamblers, on the other hand, will be pleased to know that the hotel also has its own casino, which is open to over 18's only.
