Measuring 50m², the 372 guest rooms are very spacious, even if the large balcony is included in the surface area. Whether you decide on a standard, deluxe or elite room, the size doesn't change, just the amenities do. However, the level of the standards is already excellent: free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, bathrobes and slippers, a very large flat-screen television, tropical shower and bathtub, king-size bed, sofa, walk-in closet... This is definitely a 5-star hotel, even if it is just by the local standards.
Actually, the biggest difference between the rooms is the view. Standard means mountain-view, which means over the boulevard. Try to avoid these at all costs! Especially since only 7% of the rooms are standards. The deluxe rooms mean a view of the sea, which changes everything. Even better, the elite rooms offer a view of the golf course and the sea, as well as extra services (free access to the spa, personalised check-in/out, a free minibar freshly stocked every day, etc.).
The Steigenberger Al Dau also has 55m² standard and elite version family rooms, with two extra beds but no sofa, 16 suites (74 to 700 m² depending on the category), and two 800m² villas.
