Calm and delicacy: in the slightly cluttered environment of Chaweng Beach, the Chaweng Regent stands out very nicely with its charme and care for privacy.
On the fringes of Chaweng Beach (on the central side), the longest and most frequented beach in Koh Samui, on the east coast of the island. The airport is 4 miles north, which is around fifteen minutes by car. Nathon, the main town in Koh Samui, is opposite, on the west coast, 22 miles away (50 minutes by car).
The Chaweng Regent offers a total of 145 rooms, 38 of which are bungalows, divided in superior category (entry standard level, 39 bungalow units - with bathroom - or in the main building) deluxe and suites (5 units). Very nicely furnished and decorated, they compensate their slightly limited area with the very good taste of their setting, where the wood dominates and the fabrics and indirect lighting create a particularly pleasant private atmosphere. Compared to the superiors, the deluxe rooms have a sofa and a DVD player. Modest but lovely decorated in the superior rooms, the bathroom is well equipped with numerous welcome products, hairdryer and scale. With regard to the rooms, they offer satellite TV, telephone, minibar, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella and safe. Within the same category, it is better to opt for a bungalow accommodation, where the style enhances the charm of the accommodation.
Built in 1991 in a very successful style taking inspiration in the classic lines of Thai architecture, the Chaweng Regent extends on a generous area of flat land, by the seaside. Wood is everywhere throughout the installations, also in the decks ensuring the circulation on the site winding among lovely tropical gardens. Apart from vast and warm common areas (lovely lobby, boutiques, fitness room, swimming pool, restaurants, etc.) well arranged in the complex, the hotel includes two types of accommodation: two 2-floor buildings accommodating the standard rooms on the ground floor and the deluxe upstairs, and a series of very charming wooden bungalows disseminated among the vegetation. The sea side of the site accommodates, on the edge of the beach, one of the restaurants and the main swimming pool.
The establishment has a nice spa, the Escape Spa, well equipped with 10 treatment rooms on two floors. Renovated in 2003, it is open from 10 am to 9 pm.
Two restaurants ensure the pleasures of the food for the guests of the Chaweng Regent. One, the Chomtalay, in an open space by the beach, offers a menu which mixes international cuisine, Thai specialities and seafood, with a good level of quality and interesting choice of wine and drink. Every evening there is a different theme, buffet style, but the a la carte service is always available. The other is an indoor air conditioned restaurant, which offers Mediterranean cuisine in an intimist atmosphere. Three bars complete the offer for lighter snacks.
The public beach of Chaweng, the most frequented in Samui, has the advantage of extending its welcoming extensions of sand on many miles of seaside, then offering a vast space where to frolic, run, etc. However, the price of success is that it is also highly crowded, especially during high-season, which does not make it a particularly relaxing place. Nothing to say about the swimming: the water of the Gulf of Thailand are clean here, and the difference of height is good, even if the sea level is sometimes quite low in this part of the beach during summer. Many local shops offer, on the beach, water sport services and material: sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, water skiing, diving, free diving, fishing, canoeing, banana riding, etc.
The hotel is located close to numerous shops and the lively life of Chaweng Beach.
With regard to organised activities, the hotel offers theme evenings as well as Thai cuisine courses.

You will need to travel for two miles to reach the centre of Chaweng. The hotel is comfortable and constructed parallel to the beach.
Open from 1st February 2007, the Four Seasons Koh Samui is worth the reputation of the hotel chain with the same name. Isolated on the top of a hill, the establishment is far from civilisation. The setting is splendid and the impressive view is on the Gulf of Thailand. Delicacy and elegance are the keywords of the place. To taste with delight!

The sign at the entrance sets the tone, with the following written in black and white: "Member of the Design Hotels". This statement would hardly be noticed in Berlin or in the trendy districts of London, but when you read this sign wearing flip-flops, with a gaudy shoulder bag, right in the heart of touristic Thailand between Chaweng Beach and Koh Samui, it takes on a whole new dimension. Why? First, because design is very uncommon in this region that is distinguished by its Oriental Zen style, at least in the hotels. Second, because those who feel comfortable surrounded by clean lines, solid colours, and a full complement of modern technology, will have found the establishment of their dreams here. In addition, this hotel has a number of surprises. Here's a clue: red.
Quite isolated from the crowds of the northeastern coast of Samui, the Imperial Boat House displays the complete recent renovation of its set of amenities, as well as perfect originality: it offers the possibility to live in a ship, a real one.
