    Location 7.0 /10

    Accommodation 8.70 /10

The guest rooms in the Gran Palas Hotel are roomy (33m), stylish and comfortable, and fitted with some beautiful carpeting. Every room has two stylish armchairs, a king-size bed, a desk, a flat-screen television with numerous satellite channels, a digital safe (free to use), a mini-bar refrigerator, tea and coffee-making facilities, a bottle of red wine made by the owner, discrete individual air-conditioning, a telephone, and, of course, free Wi-Fi Internet access. The curtains open automatically with a remote control! A terrace with two armchairs, a round table and a clothes line offers a panoramic view of the sea. The bathroom is spacious and nicely decorated. It includes a bathtub fitted with two handles, a separate shower with a tropical and flexible shower head, a WC (with a bidet and a telephone) separated by a sliding glass door, a make-up mirror, a hair-dryer and hospitality products.

    Overview 8.70 /10

Inaugurated in May 2009, the Gran Palas Hotel has the air of a palace! The entrance to this family-friendly hotel is a little kitsch, with its columns reminiscent of an ancient temple, but the interior is more sober. Once you have gone through the U-shaped 3-storey building holding 102 guest rooms, you will find yourself faced with 9,000m of gardens with flower-filled paths, facing the sea and sheltering two round swimming pools. The sun terrace has wooden deckchairs with cushions, parasols and showers. In the garden you are as likely to find strawberries as grapevines, not to mention aromatic plants! Three conference rooms can hold 10, 16 or 1,224 people. For sporty types, there is an ultra-modern gym where you can take spin classes or do some yoga, Tai Chi or pilates.

    Food and drink 8.95 /10

All of the meals are eaten in a large hall, where you will have three options: the menu of the day, la carte or the buffet. An open kitchen and show cooking means that a wide selection of starters and main dishes are prepared before your very eyes. The desserts are excellent! In fact, we should point out that the Basque chef is a former pastry chef! Breakfast is served between 7:00am and 10:30am, lunch between 1:00pm and 3:30pm and dinner between 7:00pm and 11:00pm. With an international chef, a large choice of wines, care taken in the presentation, and stylish flatware, it is no surprise that this gourmet restaurant is renowned. On Friday nights, guests can eat Japanese teppanyaki. A large variety of cocktails can be enjoyed at the lobby bar to the sound of piano music. The bar has an area for smokers and a large-screen plasma television.

    Beach 7.45 /10

The public beach of La Pineda is located just opposite the hotel, on the other side of the road. Unfortunately, it can't be reached from the garden and you have to go back through reception to reach it. With golden sand, it is a large beach equipped with deckchairs and parasols. Swimming is supervised here.
