This is a hotel whose very name fuels curiosity! It was made ultra-famous by the film Ocean's Thirteen in which Brad Pitt and George Clooney admire the Bellagio fountains.
One of the few 5* hotels on the Strip, the Bellagio commands respect through its sheer elegance and architecture. Make the most of your visit to the hotel by first strolling along the pine tree-lined promenade and take in the spectacle that is the dancing fountains. One of the jewels of Las Vegas, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in Lake Como, Italy. Indeed, Bellagio is actually the name of a small village located on the shores of Lake Como. Once the magic of the fountains has died down, slip inside and explore the magnificent botanical garden, where the theme of the decor and the flowers changes every season.
On entering the lobby, make sure you take the time to admire the fabulous floral ceiling composition of blown-glass, a creation by American artist Dale Chihuly, incorporating 2,000 flowers blown in multicoloured glass. It's guaranteed to blow you away!
The Bellagio is very arts-focused and boasts one of the largest art galleries in Las Vegas (entrance fee applies), featuring paintings and sculptures by some of the greatest artists.
After this cultural interlude, what better than to take a dip in one of the hotel's swimming pools. The pool area is located in a Renaissance garden where much-needed summer shade is provided by olive, lemon, orange and pine trees and a touch of elegance is added by the various fountains, archways and small booths. If you fancy a swim, there are 2 large pools and 3 smaller ones to choose from, but then you may prefer to stick to the whirlpool baths dotted around the pools. For a little more privacy, private cabins are available to hire, whilst massages are given at the edge of the pool for the ultimate in relaxation.
The relaxation doesn't have to end when the pool closes though; just head for the spa, one of the largest in the world it would seem, with no fewer than 32 massage rooms and 50 treatment rooms where Ayurvedic treatments, shiatsu, Thai massages and yoga are available, not forgetting light therapy! The beauty products used have been specially designed for the Bellagio..
When night falls, why not take in the Cirque du Soleil production, "O". Acrobats, synchronised swimmers and divers put on a magical aquatic show which will both dazzle and refresh.
The hotel has various bars, each with its own ambience, for you to make the most of your evening, before or after the show. With live music, a dancefloor and a view overlooking the Eiffel Tower and the lake, what better way to spend a wonderful evening. The Petrossian Bar, as its name would suggest, offers a true taste of Russian culture, with vodka, caviar and cigars to be enjoyed in moderation. By day, though, the place becomes a tea room.
