On arrival at the hotel you'll find yourself in the reception area just in front of the 17th-Century lounge, which has recently been renovated to closely reflect the original style. This is really a very pleasant place to come and relax, its charming furniture and decor creating a sophisticated and luxurious ambience. The hotel operates a no-smoking policy throughout, though there is a lovely patio area furnished with tables and comfortable chairs where smokers can get their fix if need be.
Most of the hotel's facilities are located on the basement level of the building, where, you might be surprised to find, they have managed to create some rather welcoming surroundings. Take, for example, the buffet-restaurant, a bright, pleasant room with decor so colourful you'll find it hard to believe you're in the basement. The same is true of the spa, also located on the basement level, which is adorned with blue mosaics making it the ideal place for a spot of relaxation.
