The Guitart Central Park Resort is a complex in which it is easy to get lost. Built in 1980 and renovated in 2009, this massive building houses almost 600 guest rooms. The lobby, or should we call it a large reception, is decorated in a minimalist style (cream-coloured walls and floor and a few chairs giving each other the eye). It merely serves as a passage room, as most amenities are to be found in the upper floors and, more particularly, outdoors. Outside, you will find a large pool and a paddling pool, surrounded by deck chairs crammed together, several bars (one of which has many games, including an electronic bowling alley), a children's club, a second large outdoor pool, a boutique combined with a grocery store, and a solarium. The various facilities are set up on terraces on different levels and found thanks to wooden indication signs. Many sports amenities are available, such as tennis courts, targets for rifle shooting, and an area for playing boules. As for the spa, which we would rather call a 'medical wellness centre' because it brings hospitals to mind, it is equipped with a sauna, an indoor pool with hydromassage jets, a small gym (a bit pathetic), and treatment rooms for various types of massages. They are not particularly pretty and certainly no invitation to mind-wandering.
