The cuisine is varied. Four good restaurants. Many people who are not hotel guests also come to eat there. The main restaurant, the "Serapis" (286 seats), which overlooks the pool, doesn't have a very appealing decor (modern tables and chairs, modest but without originality). Every day, breakfast buffets have a different theme - different tastes of the world. Breakfast in the Serapis is served buffet style, sumptuous and varied, high-quality, international and oriental: there is a large selection of breads and pastries in addition to sweet-salty dishes. Before the room, a beautiful fresco (Venetian style) represents the terrace of the Old Cataract in Aswan. In this space you will find a pool table. The "Beban", a small Italian restaurant (80 seats, open 24 h/24) is remarkable for its affordability and its varied menu of delicious pasta and real Italian ice creams! Hats off to the Japanese restaurant, the "Miyako" (80 seats). The decoration is exquisite. Brown lacquer and dark green fabrics, the atmosphere is refined and the cuisine delicious (expect to pay 50 to 77 pounds for a main dish). The "Jeb's", the swimming pool restaurant serves remarkable apetizers, noon to 5 PM. Also an elegant bar library, the "Nobles" programmes live performances (music and vocals) each evening. The price is about 12 pounds for a beer, and 75 pounds for a bottle of Egyptian wine.
