One of the Catalonia Gaudí's strong points is its restaurant, La Pedrera, serving a comprehensive selection of rich, varied, and high-quality Mediterranean and marketplace cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The tables are laid up in a sophisticated fashion and arranged in 3 separate areas, one of which is reserved, and it's not uncommon to see business groups coming to lunch here. Breakfast is served as a buffet and consists of a comprehensive range of fresh fruit, fruit juices, cereals, Viennese pastries, hot dishes (some of which are prepared to order), etc. Lunch and dinner, meanwhile, are served à la carte, with a daily set menu option also available. The daily set menu will set you back around £11 and consists of a choice among 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts. Of course, you could always go for the 'Express menu', which is more basic but also more economical, at around £7 excluding drinks. If you would prefer to dine à la carte, however, it's likely to set you back about £22 excluding drinks. The restaurant specialises in fish such as cod, meat such as Galician rib roast and pork chops with mint sauce, and desserts such as 'Tarte Indienne'. With regards to wine, you'll find some 25 or so national gems on the list, 30% of which are of the Penedès variety. The hotel also has a cafeteria serving a selection of drinks and snacks. Guests may choose to have any of the dishes on the cafeteria menu delivered to their room, with room service available until 11:00pm.
