This establishment is part of the Spanish chain, Room Mate, which has hotels located in the city centre designed to include all the services you would expect when staying with a friend. Hence the name Room Mate, followed by a first name for each hotel in the chain. For this one, Óscar is synonymous with cosmopolitan, nocturnal and modern. Among the characteristic elements of this chain managed by Enrique Sarasola, you will find a good bed and a pleasant shower, a decent breakfast at a reasonable price served until midday, and an avant-garde design. These establishments do not have a gym or any sport facilities, and there is no room service, but despite all that, the other services proposed offer good value for money. Also, rare are those, like the Óscar, which include a restaurant. The staff employed in these hotels constitutes another common point: in general, they are all young and friendly. At the Room Mate Óscar, you can count on the hallways and guest rooms being safe since guests need to have an authorisation to take the elevator, which means only they have access to the various floors. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Moreover, a computer with an Internet connection is also at your disposal for free beside reception. Also at reception you will notice that guests can help themselves to an apple, with that old saying posted: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Newspapers are provided for free in the entrance hall. Although the hotel does have a swimming pool, it operates like a private club and access to it is not included in the price of the room. Not to mention that you also have to make an advance booking to use it. One day at the pool will cost you £33, which covers the use of a towel, a locker and a mattress. If part of a group, you can take advantage of some quiet time beside the pool while comfortably lying on a pleasant Balinese bed. In addition, you can enjoy a massage in the comfort of your own room, like the famous 'Óscar', a massage described as "nocturnal" and "extroverted", for £90 per hour. The hotel does not have its own car park but there is a public one on the same square on which it stands. However, the hotel has an agreement with a nearby car park (29 via Libertad) which you can use for some £16 per day.
