The hotel belongs to the Tryp hotels brand, known for its city hotels, managed by Sol Meliá, which belongs to the Wyndham Hotel Group. It is right beside the Tryp Menfis, another hotel in the same Group, with which it shares some of the facilities, such as the gym and meeting room, both of which are part of the Tryp Menfis. Although the buildings are located next door to one another, there are no internal connecting doors. Like many hotels in Madrid, the clientele changes depending on the day of the week: affluent business travellers stay for a night or two from Monday to Friday while on weekends the rooms are occupied by families or couples. The modern gym is free for guests and open 24/7. You need your room card to access this area, which is equipped with seven exercise machines, a television screen, a water distributor, mattresses, and towels. The Tryp Washington does not have parking facilities but guests benefit from a 30% discount on normal parking fees in the public car park next door (Mostenses). Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel at a charge. Despite the fact that this is only a 3 star hotel, the rooms have a telephone in the bathroom. Two of the rooms on the top floor have been adapted for guests with reduced mobility. The hotel works in collaboration with a trusted taxi company, which is useful for avoiding unpleasant surprises when paying for fares.
