The place to stay for those who love nature and a peaceful holiday. This former campsite has preserved the luxury of space and the freedom to place your deckchair wherever you see fit. Armed with their chair, guests can make the most of several acres of a superb tree-lined and flower-filled park, with direct access to the sea. Although the accommodation is not particularly up to date in terms of decor, everything is there, including the balcony. Strongly recommended for truly relaxing holidays. Young party lovers should look elsewhere! Families are welcome, with children being able to enjoy the well-equipped kid's club.

    Location 4.62 /10

The hotel is located one mile from the centre of Malia. Heraklion International Airport is 30 minutes away, while Knossos is 40 minutes away. The immediate surroundings are quiet, so guests won't be bothered by the busy bars of Malia where the bubbling energy can sometimes become too much. But if you do want to go, it's about a 25-minute walk.

    Accommodation 7.20 /10

204 guest rooms, a quarter of which are in the main building. 60% of the guest rooms have been refurbished. Opt for the ones in the park, for the peace and quiet, and the nature of course. In terms of size, all of the room categories (and there are several) have roughly the same surface area: 24m in the main building, 36m in the family rooms (only 2) and 26m in the bungalows. Note that for families with a maximum of 4 people, there are 7 Family bungalows (43m) that can accommodate up to 4. You wouldn't choose them for their decoration, which has definitely aged, although to be fair it lacked a little daring to begin with. In terms of amenities however, everything is there: individual air-conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, free Wi-Fi Internet access, a small television, and all of the guest rooms have a balcony with a table and chairs. Almost all of the bathrooms are fitted with bathtubs. The bedding is a little stiff.
Our accommodation advice: families should ask to be near the Kid's Club so that they can keep an eye on their children.

    Overview 8.20 /10

The hotel opened in 1989 and was last renovated in 2008. The hotel has retained a certain old world charm and the lobby is particularly spacious and comfortable. The buildings are spread out across the whole site in the middle of a park with a wide variety of trees (pines, palms, etc.) and flowers whose scents will please those who love their fragrances. To continue the learning process, there is even a small botanical garden with incredible exotic species each with their name on a label. A beautifully kept lawn and some background music in the shade, but not too intrusive. The hotel has preserved the liberty to give guests the freedom to place their deckchair where they want without worrying about being cramped. For a swim, there is plenty of choice, with four swimming pools and in particular a small children's pool. They all have a rather original shape, particularly the river that runs to the beach. Light entertainment 6 days a week, a tennis court (in good condition) and a beach volleyball pitch actually on the beach.

    Food and drink 7.70 /10

Buffet food service. A charming dining room and a delightful partly covered terrace. It has to be said that the dishes are somewhat uninspiring, and other than the international holiday classics (pasta, pizza, salad, etc.) there's not much else. There is show-cooking with meats, however, and a corner reserved for Greek specialities. In addition to the main restaurant, there are two other la carte options: an Italian and a Greek tavern (tavern during the day, la carte in the evening).

Direct access to the beach, clean sand and natural shade from the trees lining the strip of sand. The water is clear but it is a shame that the rocks make bathing rather hard work...unless you like swimming with your legs bent and your knees below your chin, otherwise it's best to go further out to find a good depth to swim comfortably. On the beach you will find a bar and a watersports centre offering numerous free activities including canoes, pedalos, kayaks and windsurfs. Deckchairs and parasols are also available.

    To know

    - The hotel has been built on the site of a former campsite open in the 70s. Its owners wanted to preserve this taste for simple things and the amount of space between the buildings is exceptional.
    - Two guest rooms have been specially designed for guests with reduced mobility.
    - Guests can feed the 23 cats at the Cat Caf.
    - The hotel has kept its green spirit and increased the number of eco-responsible activities. Plastic bottles have been switched for glass ones, solar panels heat the water, light bulbs have been changed for LEDs, etc.
    - The hotel organises a waste collection day with staff and guests once every season. It works to raise awareness of sustainable development with organised meetings with local associations in high season (particularly for sea turtles).
