    Location 4.43 /10

Between the seaside resorts of Malia and Stalis, the former, just a 10-minute walk away, is famous for being the most rowdy resort in Crete. href="//www.easyvoyage.com/grece/heraklion">Héraklion International Airport is 30 minutes away (page currently only available in French). The immediate surroundings are quiet and the hotel is just 200m from the beach, where the amenities are charged extra.

    Accommodation 7.20 /10

135 guest rooms divided among 7 buildings and 3 categories: Single, Double and Family. The guest rooms stand out more for their size, the smallest being 22m², than their decor, which is frankly austere. The furniture has not been changed for years and also serves as the decoration, relying on the typical and rustic effect of the wood. Nevertheless, the essentials are all there: individual air-conditioning, fridge, safe, flat-screen television...and Wi-Fi Internet access in most of the guest rooms. All of the guest rooms have a balcony, with a view of the sea from some of them, but for most of them of the garden... and the other buildings. Note that all of the bathrooms are fitted with bathtubs. If you're a fan of small terraces, ask for one of the rooms on the ground floor, which feature a French window and have a table and two chairs. Watch out for the smell of damp.

    Overview 7.45 /10

Opened in 1990, the last renovations were carried out in 2003. The hotel is laid out like a village, with its white walled buildings spread across the well-maintained and tree- and flower-filled site. The lobby is comfortable and full of local charm with exposed stones, wood panelling and soft sofas. The outside spaces mainly lead to the guest rooms, and the areas fitted out for sunbathing, concentrated around the main swimming pool at the heart of the hotel, are nicely arranged with a grassy area full of deckchairs and parasols, with a bar serving refreshments on the covered terrace. Families are sure to appreciate the facilities specially designed for them, in particular the kids club equipped with toys and games, as well as air-conditioning. The swimming pool just next door is also practical for enjoying a holiday with the children, although a little natural shade wouldn't have gone amiss. Sports fans can head to the two well-maintained tennis courts and the little gym with a few simple machines. Note that the hotel has a free car park.

    Food and drink 6.95 /10

The main restaurant serves an international buffet in a large dining room, which is pleasantly located in the main building. A dozen hot dishes are available every day as well as Cretan specialities. A Greek evening and an Italian evening are also held every week. There is one bar in the lobby and another by the swimming pool. The poolside bar also serves snacks: pizza, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, pasta, and even fish and meats.
