Stand by to board cabin boys! If you have the soul of an old sea dog, this hotel is for you. The ambiance here exudes regattas, whale hunting and New England resorts. The decoration has been well thought-out and not too flashy. On the other hand, the hotel does have 1,093 guest rooms which means it can be a bit noisy with other guests always milling about. It is a place to avoid, then, if you want some peace and quiet in the evening after a long day in the park.

    Location 8.1 /10

Disney's Newport Bay Club is in the township of Marne-La-Vallée, east of Paris. To reach it from Paris you just have to take the RER A. Otherwise, there is a TGV train station in Marne-La-Vallée with connections to London, Lille, Strasbourg and even the Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport. Disney's Newport Bay Club is located next to Disney Lake, approximately 15 minutes from the Disney parks and their attractions. It is also possible to reach the parks using the free shuttle which stops in front of the hotel.

    Accommodation 8.50 /10

The Newport Bay Club does not cease to amaze with its size and number of guest rooms, 1093 in total. All of them can accommodate at least 4 people and some have been designed for families of 5. In line with the family-friendly spirit, most of the rooms are communicating. Naturally, the decor follows the theme of the hotel, meaning yachting and all that is New England. Blue and white are obviously compulsory, just like the striped wallpaper (blue and white of course). As for the patterns: boats, anchors, ropes and marine knots, helms? Simple, pleasant and totally in the spirit of the hotel, the decor in the guest rooms is much less kitsch than in some of the other Disneyland Paris hotels. In the bathroom, the striped blue and white wallpaper creates a sort of fresh and light feel in the small space, which nevertheless has a bathtub in addition to a hair-dryer and toilet.

    Overview 8.20 /10

With its 1093 rooms, the Newport Bay Club is one of the largest hotels in Europe. Based on its name alone, you can easily guess the theme of the hotel. Here guests find themselves immersed in an ambiance you would expect to find in New England with its resorts and regattas. The era when whale hunting was still common is also alluded to here. Every detail in the decor plays with these themes: parquet flooring, models of boat, names related to the world of navigation, storm lanterns, nautical charts? Wood is omnipresent. The colour scheme sticks to shades of blue and white and, whenever possible, stripes. Like in every Disneyland hotel, you will find shops and video arcades. Your little ones will be delighted to see Disney characters strolling around the hotel every day. They will even be able to bring back a photograph of this magical moment as a souvenir. In terms of relaxation, the hotel has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool (not heated). Shaped like a boat's hull, the indoor swimming pool completely reflects the overall atmosphere here. A relaxation/well-being space totally in line with the theme of the hotel, in shades of blue and white, proposes a sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool and gym.

    Food and drink 7.70 /10

There are no less than 3 restaurants ready to welcome cabin boys of all ages in a very maritime ambiance. Direction port side, to the Cape Cod restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the form of a buffet. The cuisine respects the theme of the hotel in terms of the sea but also proposes other offerings from the New World. This round-shaped room is welcoming and bright. Its huge picture windows look out onto the lake. Shades of blue and white are, of course, still the theme, with shells and shellfish as decor. On the starboard side, opt for the Yacht Club, where breakfast is served as a buffet and lunch and dinner à la carte. Here you can enjoy all types of seafood, including specialities from New England: lobster, clams and cranberries. The decoration is very cosy and yacht-like, with dark wood panelling, models of boats, and storm lanterns. It's a great place for a romantic dinner. The third restaurant, The Captain, is reserved for the guests in the VIP rooms. The regatta theme dominates here, with the leather armchairs in shades of blue and white and everything with a regal feel about it. Head to the Fisherman's Wharf Bar, opening onto the lobby, for some tea, coffee or pre-dinner drinks. If you are stuck with a rainy afternoon, get comfy in front of the fireplace. Large picture windows let plenty of natural light in.

The Sequoia Lodge is still our favourite of all of the Disneyland Paris hotels. Its ambiance evoking the national parks of the American West offers visitors a place to relax while enjoying nature. Made of stone and wood, the hotel has been nicely decorated. The best part is the huge fireplace in the middle of the bar. In short, if you're looking for a change of scenery and some nature, the Sequoia Lodge is the hotel for you.

Heads up nature lovers, the Davy Crockett Ranch is aimed at all those wishing to get away from the reality and stresses of everyday life. The bungalows here are scattered about in the forest. It is completely different than the other Disneyland Paris hotels. The only downside is that you need a car if you're going to stay here. In truth, the Davy Crockett Ranch is best for a stay in spring or summer. There is simply a lot less to do in winter. In any case, it is ideal for families with young children.

New York, New York! What would you say to going back to the past, and more precisely to the New York of the 1920s and 30s; the New York full of construction sites, with architects competing to build the tallest buildings; the New York of jazz clubs, etc.? In Disney's New York Hotel, guests are literally plunged into this very particular atmosphere. Everything has been pulled off very well, with the only damper being the rooms and their decor, which are rather basic.
