On arrival at Pousada Monte Cara, you will be plunged into the world of this charming guest house and you will almost feel cut off from the rest of the world and forget where you are. Maria, the owner and manager of the property, quickly makes you feel at home and the immaculate and attractive decor contributes to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the place. Everything has its place, nothing is left to chance, which creates a cosy, harmonious setting from the moment you cross the threshold. Potted plants are dotted throughout the hotel, the furniture and decorative features are nothing less than sophisticated, and the Cape Verdean music only adds to the lightness of this intimate and welcoming place. All this makes you want to enjoy and share your experiences of your time here, preferably with a friend or your partner. Although the establishment is not excessively large (unsurprisingly, given that it is a guest house), you soon notice that every room has been tastefully decorated, and the addition of small details mean that each one is ultimately unique. This same particular style and attention to detail can also be seen in the bedrooms, which are all different. Some draw on African influences, while others lean more towards Asia. It is just a pity that the two private houses - built after the Pousada Monte Cara - get in the way of the view. However, you will soon forget about them because all you will want to do is make the most of this haven of peace and relaxation.
