Although the style of the rooms in both of the residences is rather similar, there are still some details that set apart those of the Palace from those of the Relais.
The Palace Hotel San Michele offers 57 guest rooms, including 50 standards, 10 junior suites and 2 regular suites. Differentiating them from the rooms in the lower categories, the suites and the junior suites have in addition a panoramic balcony with a view over the bay. The first measure 32m▓ and 49m▓ and are equipped with a jacuzzi, while the second measure 23-24m▓ and have a bathtub. Affording two separate spaces, that is, a living room area and sofa-bed, the suites and the junior suites display a dimmer and more austere decor than the standard rooms. This being the case, the latter are more pleasant (according to us anyway), with their fitted sky-blue carpet, yellow-striped tapestry, red bedspread and chairs, and light-coloured wooden furniture. Despite not having a balcony and only measuring 18m▓, they offer the same amenities: air-conditioning, heating, a mini-bar, a safe, a telephone, and a range of quality hospitality products.
The Relais dei Normanni only has 29 guest rooms, made up of 5 suites and 24 standards. Each one of them has a large balcony and although they don't afford any panoramic views of the splendid bay, you will be able to admire the profile of the castle of Monte Sant'Angelo, one of the city's important historic buildings. Although the amenities and hospitality products are the same as those offered at the Palace, the facilities are a little more modern (in the bathrooms, for example, you will find very stylish square-shaped sinks and beautiful marble coating). The suites are equipped with a hydromassage shower and a small kitchen area. However, as is the case at the Palace, the decor in the rooms of this category is less inviting than in the standard rooms, where the light-coloured shades of wood serve to create a more relaxing atmosphere.
