The Marsol is a 4 star establishment located in the middle of Via Costeira. It was inaugurated in 1985 and renovated in 2009. Visitors drive past the large entrance gate and head for the car park before entering the hotel's premises. They are then welcomed in a large and cool entrance hall with a wooden ceiling, dark concrete flooring, and drapes that hang from the ceiling. There are many comings and goings through this doorless and cool area. The room that lies beyond the reception counter includes a table where you'll find all the information you need about excursions or buggy rides in the dunes of Genipabu. You will also find a space in this room area where you can look at photos that were taken of you during your stay, a computer with all sorts of information for tourists, and some rattan armchairs. If you climb a few steps you'll arrive in a vaulted TV room. Next to the car park you'll find a tennis court and a multi-sports pitch where you can join in some sports. The activities on offer change on a daily basis but generally include aquagym, watervolley, art workshops, table tennis tournaments, or forró lessons (a northeastern Brazilian dance).
Further on is the swimming pool area, facing the sea and surrounded by a garden with palm trees. The swimming pools are built on different levels and the deckchairs, tables, and chairs are all plastic. The gym was still under construction when we came here in March 2010.
Finally, next to the tennis court, in a yellow-roofed hangar, capoeira demonstrations and dancing sessions are held in the evenings during high season.
