An ultra-designer hotel which will charm those who like contemporary decor and a high-tech ambiance, the Park tends to attract business people thanks to its location in the heart of the business district. However, there are also a few locals who come to savour the refined decor and the exquisite cuisine of the restaurants, and enjoy the lively party atmosphere of the very trendy bar. A hotel for a night in an unusual place.

    Location 5.5 /10

In the heart of the business centre, close to shops and museums, the hotel is 10 minutes from Connaught Place. Allow half an hour by car to get to the airport.

    Accommodation 8.70 /10

220 slightly small rooms with refined decor in a designer style, like the rest of the hotel. Plenty of original light fittings contrast with ancient objects such as a Buddha head in stone under a bell, or a picture showing aspects of Indian culture. A prayer book with a prayer for every day will give you the thought for the day. The high-tech equipment with flat screen TV and DVD player blend in perfectly with the comfortable furniture, which includes two leather chairs and a coffee table. The bathrooms have a small bath and a vasque on the table, and are entered through a sliding door so that no space is wasted. For the view, the higher up the better, because you are in the town centre.
The rooms on the 10th floor are superb! Grass is growing under the enormous flat screen TV, and the bath is the size of a swimming pool so you can have family baths (like the Japanese) while watching a film on the wall-mounted television.

    Overview 8.70 /10

Set over 10 floors, the hotel is not particularly good looking from the outside, but it is pleasantly surprising once you are inside the hall. Coloured perl curtains, a pink and blue lounge, ultra-trendy furniture... you can wander around this hotel as if it were an art gallery. The inside is surprising and amusing. However, the outside is rather disappointing. The terrace has a sculpture but it is not surrounded by tables or loungers. A little further on is the small but trendy pool above which a disco ball reflects the light. The surrounding terrace is not very spacious, but it has a bar just next to it that plays music till 1 a.m., and you can have a drink there without getting splashed. Up one floor, the "Aura" spa is small but trendy. It has a hairdressing salon, massage rooms, a sauna and a sports room. For those who like relaxation, there are yoga classes every morning and evening on the wooden terrace in front of the spa.

    Food and drink 7.20 /10

An Indian restaurant, which we recommend for its very fine cuisine, is located next to the bar, and is often frequented by celebrities. The buffet restaurant is not worthy of a 5* establishment. The blue, water-themed decor is original and the food is good, but there is not much originality or choice. If you want a glass of wine it is 8 pounds sterling per glass. Remember to take a jumper because the air conditioning is set to maximum and you soon feel like an icicle. Those with big appetites should head to the entrance of the MIST bar-restaurant, where cigars and patisseries (from one of the best patisserie shops in India) are on sale.
After the meal, head for the achingly trendy designer bar where celebrities meet. This is the longest bar in New Delhi, 38 feet long.

    To know

The famous designers Conran & Partners, who designed the hotel decor, were inspired by the five primary elements. For example, you can find the theme of air and space at the reception, while the MIST restaurant is designed around the water theme.
