The Theophano relies on its design and the comfort and services it provides to attract a diversified clientele. The sport facilities, a little more limited than elsewhere, will definitely be adequate for those seeking a rather peaceful atmosphere.
The Theofano is located along one of the largest streets adjacent to the sea. It is a little out of the way, 600 m away from the touristy animation of Paphos port. A few shopping centres and restaurants in the access ways but again, little animation and constructions. To reach the hotel from the Larnaca airport ( located 74.5 miles away), will take 1 hour and 45 minutes (15 minutes if you land in Paphos).
The 190 rooms have a colorful decoration in shades of blue and yellow. A good level of comfort is offered, despite the small bathroom and the absence of a mini-bar ( refrigerator by request, for additional fees). There are three views possible: the sea, the inland (noise of the street) and the swimming pool. All the rooms are equipped with satellite TV, a direct telephone line, adjustable air-conditioning, a balcony or a sundeck and a bathroom with a bathtub. Room service is available until midnight.
Fully renovated in 1988, the medium size Theofano hotel ( built in 1976) offers a nice outside façade - quite simple - decorated by amphoras and mosaics. The interior fitting out is modern, bright and spacious. The contemporary design was inspired by the Byzantine queen Theofano. It is not located on the seafront, but the establishment is equipped with a terrace with exotic plants and two swimming pools ( one rectangular, another one shaped like a lagoon) that will guarantee you relaxing moments. The atmosphere is pretty intimate.
Meals are served buffet-style most of the time and there are thematic evenings ( Italian, Cypriot, Chinese cuisine, fish, steakhouse, gala evening ) in a nice room without much access to the exterior. The beautiful Cypriot cafeteria allows you to have local a la carte dishes during the day. Two snack-bars serve light lunch around the swimming pools.
To get to the public beach, turn right when you come out of the hotel, and walk along the oceanfront for about 5 minutes. From this supervised site, you will have a great view of the Paphos fishing port and the small bay. The clear water and the golden, fine sand will make your ride enjoyable. If you want to do water sports, ask the hotel and you will get some recommendations for a club. An outsourcing company comes here regularly to show you a demonstration of diving, in the swimming pool.
The deckchairs and the showers are all charged for.
Dinners are usually accompanied by live background music.

The Ledra Beach, a little off the beaten path to the east of the port of Paphos, is mainly recommended for families and those seeking sedentary vacations. While the sports and leisure facilities are sufficient, the hotel is quite basic, the decoration maybe too simple.
A peaceful and quiet hotel, the Atlantica Golden Beach is recommended for those seeking rest. A good choice for a seaside vacation. Recommended mainly for couples, the hotel does not offer specific facilities for young children.
This vacation hotel offers a full set of facilities. A nice and refined decoration, good comfort, or a good choice of restaurant or leisure activities. No animation: it's even better! The clients come here mainly for the peaceful atmosphere. This is possible also because there are not too many kids.
Families will be in their element at the Paphos Gardens. The accommodation (apartment blocks with all of the modern amenities, including a kitchenette), facilities, and leisure activities were all carefully designed to care for guests of all ages, but especially children. Couples seeking to relax in Cyprus should give this hotel a miss: there is no avoiding the multitude of children making themselves at home here. Moreover, the beach is far and not ideally situated.
The Aquamare Beach was built in 2006 and draws all of its charm from its somewhat quaint and old-fashioned decor. It offers a high degree of luxury for the price of a 4 star establishment (by local standards), building its reputation on giving great attention to detail, every millimetre carefully thought out. Everything is designed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible... The only thing is you will have to try and ignore the air traffic flying above, which can get quite noisy.
If what you want out of your holiday is complete relaxation and being looked after from head to foot in an upmarket setting, then the Ayii Anargyri is the perfect place for you. Nestled in the hollow of a small wooded valley, this hotel boasts one of the island's most renowned spas, featuring high-tech and very original facilities. The curative aspect of the place is reinforced by the presence of swimming pools filled with naturally sulphurous water, and it really would be simply idyllic were the service not so hit-and-miss.
The Aqua Sol Holiday Village only offers accommodation in apartments, which come equipped with a kitchen area. Its location makes it a good option for families who want to enjoy the sun and sea air. Plus, the all-inclusive formula means you will need to spend virtually nothing once you're here. One negative point is that the beach here is covered with pebbles and refuse brought in by the sea. Couples and guests who like to have plenty to do will quickly become bored as there isn't a large amount of activities on offer.

It's the perfect place for golfers, with the superb courses of Minthis Hills and Secret valley 11 mi and 17 mi away respectively. If you're not so keen on golfing, you can always enjoy a nice drink on the terrace or indulge in a divine massage at the Sen Spa.

Here you have a modern hotel, but with a family clientele - an establishment where you can choose accommodations according to the size you require - (there are so many different types); the rooms of this seaside hotel do not all have a balcony. The Almyra hotel is unclassified; you should try it to get an idea of what that really means.
Located in a sandy coast - which doesn't happen very often in Paphos - the Coral Beach has comfortable accommodations, elegant dining and various activities to prevent boredom.
The Alexander the Great Beach Hotel stands on the coast in Paphos and belongs to the Kanika hotel group, owner to several other hotels in Cyprus: Limassol and Ayia Napa in particular. It is 'reasonably' luxurious, blending together traditional Greek art and a more contemporary style, which caters for all age groups, especially since it was entirely renovated in 2010. Children are also welcome here, the hotel even having a leisure club available just for them.
It is not the best hotel of this class in Paphos, but its location on the sea and near downtown allows you to walk around in high season enjoying the legendary Cypriot sun, without any concern for transportation once you are in the area.

The Queen Bay’ hotel is located ’ away from the touristy bustle of Paphos. The simple ’atmosphere and unpretentiousness contrast strongly with the large hotel infrastructures that are numerous on the ’island. It will suit perfectly vacationers seeking peace and a minimum of activities.
