Far away from the touristic concentrations of Ton Sai bay, the very lovely Pee Pee Island Village resort plays without complex the card of the tropical paradise: total lazing about on the background of coconut trees, white sand and turquoise blue sea...

    Location 1.0 /10

In the Andaman Sea, on the north-east side of Phi Phi Island (province of Krabi), which is around 25 miles south-east from Krabi (consider around 30 minutes via land plus 2h30 by ferry to reach the airport) and around 30 miles south-east of Phuket (consider around 45 minutes via land plus 2h30 by ferry to reach the airport).

    Accommodation 7.45 /10

The Pee Pee Island Village has a total of 86 bungalows (31 standard of entry standard level, 26 superior and 29 deluxe) and 2 villas, installed far on a hill. Essentially, it is the location on the site that determines the rooms category (the closest the sea, the higher the price), as well as the presence of a TV (the standard do not have one). In addition, the superior and deluxe only have a free tea and coffee set and a hairdryer. The accommodation of the bungalows, almost totally made of wood, uses the local colours with bamboo walls, traditional fabrics and a lodge atmosphere. The outdoor terrace is spacious and has the necessary equipment, but nothing more: no bathtub (shower only) and the air conditioners are massive and old, a bit noisy.

    Overview 7.70 /10

Built in 1986 on a former coconut grove where many trees have been preserved, the Pee Pee Island Village extends its 136 acres just by the seaside, in a splendid natural decoration which protects it like a case. All rooms are bungalows on stilts, lined on many rows opposite the bay. The equipment and common areas are disseminated throughout the site. Apart from the good size swimming pool and two tennis courts, it is worth mentioning among other things the spa, built on a hill on the south side of the hotel, and a particularly well equipped diving centre.

    Food and drink 7.45 /10

Two restaurants of good level, the Dolphin and the Marlin, allow the guests of the resort to eat, with the two bars serving snacks. Both of them serve a cuisine which mixes Thai and European dishes in a very nice setting with sea view. In addition, a seafood barbecue is organised every evening, also during low season. Finally, a music band performs every evening for the guests in high season (winter months).

    Beach 8.70 /10

1,970 feet of private white sand beach almost exclusive for the guests, this is of course one of the best offers of the hotel. The places are superb, with a remarkable quality of water, of a post card turquoise blue, despite its level which can be a bit low. The numerous coconut trees left by the end of the shore provide a comfortable shade. Even in high season when the resort is fully booked, the beach is sufficiently vast to let space to everyone, totally ensuring tranquillity and relaxation needs. Who wants more?

    To know

All boat lines serving Phi Phi Island arrive to Ton Sai Bay, and from there you need twenty minutes by long tail boat (the local cab) to reach the hotel via sea (there are no roads on the island). A brand new spa, with a splendid view of the bay in front of the resort, is open at the Pee Pee Island Village since December 2000.
