Far away from the bustle of Patong or Karon, the Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club is a top high standard hotel. Luxury, calm and voluptuousness.
South of the west coast of Phuket, by Nai Harn Beach. The hotel is 12.5 miles from Phuket Town, on the east coast and less than 30 miles from the airport, which is less than an hour by car.
The hotel has 110 luxurious and classic rooms (19 superior, 65 deluxe, 16 royal and 10 suites), all oriented towards the bay. They have a generous area, with a strong accent on teak and fabrics, they especially have the advantage of benefiting from a very vast terrace which invites to bask in the sun. Same thing for the equipment: superb bathroom, video and Internet in all rooms, the treatment is really up to the standard promised by the hotel, royal...
The construction of the Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club is dated from 1985, with a renovation in 1996. Installed on a steep slope hill, the complex has nine floors (the first six have lift), linked by a series of stairs and covered walkways. The architecture of the complex is quite basic (a system of piled-up cubes following the line of the hill). The higher part of the complex, where there are especially the swimming pool, a bar and the biggest restaurant, is a success, with a very vast space in the terrace equipped with numerous armchairs and sofas and offering a splendid view of the Adaman Sea.
Three restaurants, completed by two bars, are offered to the guests of the Royal Meridien: Asian and international menu at the Quater Deck, the biggest (around a hundred seats outdoors with a splendid view of the bay), Italian specialities at the Regatta, indoor, and Mediterranean cuisine at La Promenade. All offering a good quality cuisine, in conformity with the requirement of a five star classification. The wine menu, very varied, is clearly the object of special care. The guests are invited to dress properly for the meals.
One of the rare weaknesses of the hotel: lovely and remote, therefore calm, the beach (public, as all beaches in Thailand) suffers however from its small dimensions. The stake is not to accommodate thousands of tourists, but considering the general level of the services of the hotel, it would be reasonable to expect some more space. A slight drawback, then. The beach chairs are available free of charge on the beach for the guests of the hotel.
A member of the Leading Hotels of the World network, since 2001 the Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club has a brand new spa equipped with four suites which can accommodate two persons each. In the menu there are herbs massage, sauna, manicure, pedicure, face cares, mud baths, reflexology, etc. In addition, a permanent valet service is ensured for the 16 royal rooms.

By the Kata Beach, the Club Med of Phuket shows with professionalism what determined the success of the offer: a profusion of organised activities and sports in a tropical environment.
One of the vastest hotels in Phuket for its accommodation capacity. Not favourable to privacy, of course, but the Kata Thani compensates this weakness with a real asset: being almost a monopoly on the nice beach of Kata Noi.
Not many rooms, but a privileged location on Kata Beach and a particularly comfortable atmosphere: in the tone of charming hotel businesses, the Boathouse has no difficulty to convince.
Small family hotel south of Phuket, the Sabana Resort offers a good comfort. This 3 star hotel has a good value for money and equipment and services of a very honourable standard.
Very nice small hotel, situated amidst a luxurious vegetation, the Baan Krating Jungle Beach offers beautiful facilities in an idyllic setting, isolated from crowded beaches.
The Sawasdee Village is a very lovely small town hotel combining charm, calm and comfort. Ideal for couples looking for tranquillity, its incredible conception is a pleasure to be seen and a guarantee of change of scenary.
No brilliance, but no more bad surprises either: the South Sea Resort plays modesty and takes advantage of its proximity with the lovely beach of Karon.
The Vijitt is a total delight and its idyllic setting makes it the ideal place for honeymooning couples and romantic breaks. The welcome and level of service are second to none and the only downside of the place is that the beach is not really suitable for bathing in all seasons.
With incontestable features - a golf course, a very high level of service, accommodation of very high category - , the Banyan Tree imposes itself without difficulty as one of the most luxurious establishments in Phuket.
The Anantara Phuket Villas boasts truly peaceful, serene surroundings, and is the kind of place you'd come solely to relax. It consists of a series of villas with a private pool; you really would be hard-pressed to find a better place to get away from it all. The staff is also very attentive and the service personalised. Although the majority of the clientele is made up of couples, children are also welcome; there is even a special club for them. The complex faces northwest, so you'll get to enjoy some beautiful sunsets...
Here is the kind of hotel where you think to spend peaceful holidays, quietly sat on your terrace or on the beach with a good book... The Trisara opened in November 2004. It is then a beautiful hotel, isolated from the rest of the island but especially from the rest of the world...
Opened since 2002, the Evason Phuket is a quality establishment. The hotel extends on a property of 158 acres. Families will be happy to know that the hotel offers a children club. And couples will have space for their privacy...
The JW Marriot hotel is one of the biggest infrastructures in Phuket. This luxurious hotel combines a big quantity of equipment, quality services and impeccable comfort in a nice well-ventilated setting.
The Sala Phuket was definitely one of our favourite hotels in Phuket. This splendid establishment is a true haven of peace, both in terms of its architectural qualities and in terms of the tranquillity it offers. It's the perfect love nest for couples, but the hotel also welcomes children, although there is no entertainment on offer. The standard rooms, called the Balcony Rooms, intentionally come in limited numbers. This is for good reason, as it would be a shame to come here without enjoying the superb villas with their private pools. The Sala Phuket opened in 2008 and has many successful years to look forward to!
The Movenpick Karon Beach of Phuket is open since 20th July 2007. It is the former Crown Plaza. The establishment is composed of big living spaces where guests are not crammed. It has the biggest children club on Phuket island: families will be seduced!
Welcome to the Indigo Pearl world! What a pleasure to discover an establishment with its own identity, where the keyword of the decoration is originality. Once arrived, you will not enter in an ordinary hotel, but in another world. The designer Bill Bensley is unquestionably a genius. A real favourite!
