    It is located on the seafront, in the hotel zone of Playacar, 1.5 miles from the centre of Playa del Carmen. It takes about 50 minutes to get to the airport located 34 miles away.

    The decoration of the rooms is inspired by the style of old haciendas in Mexico. They open onto a balcony overlooking the gardens, the swimming pool or the beach. They are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite television, telephone with direct access for international dialling, a mini-bar and a safe. The bathrooms have a shower.

    Built in 1996, the hotel opens onto a large reception area and then extends to a long courtyard refreshed with spring water jets. It leads to all 460 rooms in two buildings, U-shaped, rising on 2 floors. In the middle there is a large swimming pool of round shape. Everything, in Spanish-Moorish style, is painted in shades of pink. The hotel has a hall which stages a show every evening: music, folklore, dancing and games. It also runs a nightclub and a great kid's club open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. It includes its own swimming pool, a snack bar and a room equipped with 12 games consoles.

    The Festival Gran Buffet restaurant prepares more than a dozen regional and international dishes in the morning, afternoon and evening. It also offers a variety of beverages. The cuisine is decent. The hotel organises an evening party on daily themes: Mexican, Latin, Italian, international, seafood, chef and grill. Other restaurants serving "a la carte" and on a theme are available: the elegant Italian restaurant Broccolino, open for dinner, and the Los Alcatraces: a Mexican table, festive and colourful.

    White sand, clear water and turquoise sea stretch at the foot of the hotel. This is the great and beautiful public beach of Playacar. Swimmers, divers and fans of water sports meet there. The area, guarded and cleaned, is very popular. Palm trees and sunshades with roofs made of palm leaves provide a shaded area. Several bars offer refreshments. A steep slope can be formed during certain tides.
