It is located on the seafront, in the hotel zone of Playacar, 1 mile from the centre of Playa del Carmen. It takes about 50 minutes to reach Cancun airport, which is 33 miles away.
The rooms are decorated in the Mediterranean style. The blue and the orange colours dominate. They are furnished with a king-size bed or two double beds and equipped with good lighting. They open onto a balcony overlooking the garden. Individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite television, telephone with direct access for international dialling, a safe and a replenished mini-bar complement the amenities in these large rooms. The bathroom in each room has a shower and a hair-dryer.
The hotel opens onto a spacious lobby. It extends through gates that circulate among basins filled with large goldfish. They lead to 10 buildings accommodating a total of 36 rooms on three floors amid lush vegetation. The original relief has been kept. Waterfalls, chasm and rocks alternate. Sign boards placed all around the alleys inform on the flora and fauna. The latter includes, among others, monkeys and flamingos dwelling running free and toucans in captivity. This vast garden leads to a curved swimming pool stretching on 12,912 ft². It includes a central island covered with palm trees. A waterfall flows into one of its basins. It is bordered by a large kid's club. The hotel also has a nightclub. Every evening, it organises a performance in a large auditorium. It produces 14 shows in total during your stay.
The hotel has two restaurants called Tulum and Cozumel offering buffets in the morning, afternoon and evening. Their cuisine, regional and international, are more than correct. Three times a week, they organise thematic nights: Caribbean, tropical and gala. Their large dining rooms are open to the outside world. The dining room of the Cozumel is the most imposing, surrounded by lush vegetation. It is accessible from galleries with wooden floors that support columns in green anise. The Mexican restaurant La Hacienda and the Italian restaurant La Gondola serve a la carte for dinner. The restaurant La Marimba serves as grill and snack during the day and as a steak-house bar and a restaurant in the evening.
The large public beach of Playacar stretches out at the foot of the hotel. It is wide in that part. The sand is white and fine, the water is clear and the Caribbean Sea is turquoise blue. The shore meets the perfect conditions for a refreshing swimming, water sports and novice divers who would marvel in front of a few schools of fish. However Cozumel is not far away. The beach opens a view onto the island. It is guarded and cleaned. Palm trees and sunshades with roofs made of palm leaves protect the numerous holidaymakers.
