The hotel has 16 guest rooms: five 30m² Standard, four 35m² Comfort, two 45m² Deluxe, and five 62m² Bungalows. The Standard and Comfort rooms are about the same size, but are located in different parts of the hotel. The Standard rooms are at the back of the building, while the Comfort and Deluxe rooms are located in the main building. The Bungalows in the hotel courtyard all have two bedrooms, and are decorated in the same style. The raw wood and hints of blue give them a classy feel. All the basic amenities are provided: air-conditioning, a television, a refrigerator, tea and coffee-making facilities, etc. However, there is no telephone and therefore no room service.

The Astroea Beach Hotel is a small and friendly establishment. It may not have many facilities, but it's all about the charm and tranquillity of the place. It is a shame, though, that there is no swimming pool, particularly when the temperatures rise. The Astroea Beach Hotel is composed of a small, uncluttered reception, a small lounge which joins onto the restaurant, and a terrace with a superb view of the sea. The whole place exudes a sense of well-being, with a delightful garden to top it all off. The light colours are harmoniously coordinated, and the turquoise matches the colour of the sea.
Guests also have two massage rooms at their disposal: one in the main communal area and the other one facing it, on the other side of the road.

The hotel's only restaurant is open for all three meals of the day. Breakfast is served as a buffet, with the usual continental breakfast items as well as some hot options. Lunch is served à la carte, and consists of light dishes. As for dinner, there is a set menu with the choice of two different dishes each evening. The cuisine is a combination of European and Mauritian food, and the magnificent view of the sea makes for a charming setting. The tables are nicely spread out, and if the dining room gets a bit noisy, guests can enjoy some peace and quiet out on the covered terrace.

The beach at the hotel is more or less private. The Mauritian coastline is public, but the section in front of the Astroea Beach Hotel is difficult to get to; it can only be accessed through the hotel. The beach area is small, and although the water is exquisite, the sand is coarse and there are several rocks visible in the sea. The deckchairs are plastic with blue cushions. Overall, it is a lovely place to look at, but not very practical.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, but is charged extra. 24 hours of Internet access cost 115 Mauritian rupees (about £2).
As the hotel is part of the same group as the Preskil, guests enjoy free access to all the facilities at the latter, just over a mile from the hotel.
