The hotel's 42 rooms are divided into 3 categories : standard, superior, and suite. The superior rooms and the suites are oriented towards the lagoon. The rooms are also suitable to accommodate families or groups of friends ( 3 people in the superior rooms, 4 people in the suites ). The standard rooms have no balcony and overlook the gardens or nearby areas (the village of l'Anse aux Anglais ). So, book preferably a superior room to enjoy a terrace or a balcony and a bathroom with a bathtub. As for the surface, the standard rooms spread on 20 m² ; rooms of other categories are more spacious. The Creole furniture is in teak and rattan. A good level of amenities is provided with air conditioning, a fan, a mini-bar, a tea / coffee kit, telephone and television. A hair dryer is installed in the bathroom.

The hotel Les Cocotiers is not the most luxurious in Rodrigues, but it offers a warm Creole atmosphere and a pleasant location on the seaside. You should choose this hotel to go shopping at the market in Port-Marthurin and discover the island's capital at your own pace, without being dependent on means of transport. As for its quality as a seaside resort, the gardens around the two main swimming pools are the most enjoyable area in the hotel. View onto the lagoon through a light fringe of coconut trees and filao trees, squares of greenery adorned with exotic flowers. As for the rest of Les Cocotiers, spend some time in the gardens : you can relax on a deckchair in the shadow of a straw hut, take your meals there and the beach is just in front of your eyes, where the greenery ends.

The cuisine of Les Cocotiers reflects the local traditions of Rodrigues and it is pleasantly presented. You can take your meal in an open-air area, built with exotic wood furniture, which overlooks the swimming pool and the lagoon. Taste the chicken and shrimps carry, served with rice and spiced sauces, and marinated sea bream. Fresh products from the island : it is simple and good, and the setting obviously stirs your appetite. You would not refuse the banana flambée for dessert, made with ice topping in a green coconut. And to enjoy an even more tasty dinner, visit the gastronomic restaurant in the hotel La Pointe Vénus, which is not far away.

The space housed by the beach extends over 150 metres in length and 30 metres in width. Deckchairs made of teak wood, mattresses, cane straw huts and towels : everything is provided to let you enjoy a stay with your feet in the water or almost like that. The yellow sand is relatively fine. It gives a very beautiful shade to the lagoon, alternating turquoise and aquamarine. No seaweed, no corals. It is ideal for swimming. Those who wish to practise water sports should go to the Pointe Vénus hotel, within 10 minutes of walk from Les Cocotiers. They will find kayaking, pedal boat and snorkeling equipment ( flippers, mask and snorkel ) to borrow without charge. However, diving, glass-bottomed boat and game fishing are available against a fee.

The hotel Les Cocotiers is part of the same hotel group as the Pointe V&nus, a hotel located 0.6 mile away. Guests staying at Les Cocotiers can use the facilities of the Pointe Vénus, and in particular the kid's club, the water sports club ( with its diving centre ) and the spa.
