There, you will find the standard service of the Holiday Inn chain, but under its "Express" form. There are rooms, the rest is not important. You can have breakfast and dinner outdoors; if you want to act like a businessman on holidays go to check your email at an Internet terminal outside the hotel.

    Location 6.0 /10

The hotel is located on Opletalova Street, within 5 minutes on foot from the central station of Prague, Hlavni Nazdrazi. The subway station bears the same name. The Wenceslas Square is a 2 minute walk away and the Old Town is reachable in 15 minutes. The airport is 11 km away. It takes about 20-30 minutes for the transfer.

    Accommodation 6.95 /10

There are 80 rooms in all. The rooms have an area of at least 215 ft² (for double rooms). Those who are not familiar with contemporary facilities will have the impression that there is no furniture except the bed. The open wardrobe is tiny, toilets are separate from the rest of the bathroom, which is in a passageway to the room or to the shower. It is not quite practical for families. Moreover, the bathroom is just big enough to contain the shower and the sink in the corner. There are no personal skin care products, but two dispensers of Lux brand liquid soap. The rest of the facilities correspond to the standing of the hotel: there is no minibar (which is normal given the hotel's category), but there is a kit for tea / coffee (a more valuable asset), television, air conditioning, telephone, a safe offered for free, but at the reception.

    Overview 6.45 /10

Open in 2005, the Holiday Inn City Centre is part of the Express hotels of the chain. Which means that it is an establishment without any relaxation facilities nor restaurant service except for breakfast. All attention is focused on the accommodation and the related services. The reception includes a counter: from there you reach the rooms directly (organised on 5 floors with elevator). To make use of the Internet, you should bring your laptop along. There is no fixed computer station for free access: we hope one will be provided in the future (other hotels of the same standing in Prague already offer this service).

    Food and drink 6.70 /10

Only breakfast is served in the room below the reception. The tables are a little too closely arranged, and are placed almost subsoil - you will not notice it because the windows are small and the lights are adapted for indoors. The buffet table is at the rear of the room: only cold dishes. deli meats, yoghurt, buns, cereals, cakes, canned fruit. Coffee is not served at the table, you pour yourself a cup. At the top of the stairs, at the entrance to the breakfast room, there is a covered bar-space open from noon to midnight. It does not serve food, only drinks. Coffee and tea are served for free all day long (in thermos bottles).

    To know

Tea and coffee (in thermos bottles) are provided for free at the bar all day. Moreover, there are a kettle and tea bags in each room so that you can prepare yourself a hot drink.

    Lodging tip

Double glazing everywhere; so you should not worry about traffic noise. If you do not want facing rooms, request a room overlooking Opletatova (an avenue with treed areas).
Beware of the family rooms: triple or quadruple - they are the same. They have a convertible sofa bed (to accommodate 1 adult or 2 children).

A hotel with facilities adapted for a discovery trip. It is a recommended place for families, as it has rooms for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Conveniently located, it allows you to explore the entire historic centre of Prague on foot (the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge).

The Riverside is one of our favourite accommodation in Prague, as it brings together everything to spend a nice weekend: its location away from the town centre without being off (you can tour the district of Mala Strana from the hotel on foot), its decoration and its groomed service, its rooms, half of whom face the Vltava (the Moldau in Czech).

A simple hotel, in a central location , whose rooms are well insulated against noise. Recommended for families (many triple and some quadruple accommodations); also a good place to stay over a weekend, choose an apartment with kitchenette.

A hotel with renovated rooms that is suitable for a stopover, but has the disadvantage of not being located in the historic centre. No particular charm, therefore, nothing of a fitness centre. Choose it in case of emergency.

The best thing about this hotel? Not its location (the district is not in the historic quarter of Prague). Nor its restaurant service (after breakfast, you can not have anything more). But it is its small fitness gym where you can laze around graciously in the whirlpool bath after your visit to Prague.

The Tchaikovsky is a great little place for those looking for some rustic charm and who are not too concerned with the available facilities. The rates are reasonable and the guest rooms very large. Although the hotel might not be centrally located, the main tourist hub of Wenceslas Square is barely a 15 minute walk away. The Vltava River also runs past the end of the street.

Newer hotels often include modern features in their decor, but few manage to create an appealing harmony between their communal spaces and guest rooms. The Perla enjoys a perfect location a few hundred metres from the centre of the Old Town, and is a real gem for design aficionados to discover.

Beyond the imposing façade of the Beranek hotel, set back from Wenceslas Square, lies an impersonal establishment that is entirely devoid of charm. This really couldn't be further from the image which usually springs to mind of this incredibly romantic city. Apart from the dreadfully ordinary communal areas, the guest rooms are nevertheless decent enough but expensive for the level of service provided. It is good to know that the hotel has its own car park, which is nothing to sniff at in a city where parking can be a nightmare.

The very first hotel to come from the Buddha-Bar brand (following a successful global franchise) was not launched in Paris, New York or even Dubai, but Prague - where history and beauty come together to create an impossibly romantic setting. The Mandarin Oriental, one of the best establishments in the city, has the advantage of being located away from the crowds of tourists but is still close to some of the must-see sights. The setting is historical and the services luxurious, true, but this haven of peace and quiet for the more fortunate has a certain austerity that feels a bit cold.

The Ventana hotel is ideally located at the heart of the Old Town and is a charming little place providing high-quality, low-capacity accommodation. The modern and elegant decor of this uncharacteristic hotel is sure to win you over, particularly when you take into account the original facilities, which include Duplex rooms which can accommodate up to 4 people and afford beautiful views across the rooftops of the city. If we had to find fault, it would be that the minimalist decor in the guest rooms leaves them rather characterless.
