It is simple. At the Club Med in Punta Cana, you will feel great immediately. The main reason is that it is welcoming. This is essential for a hotel, it is evident and yet in Punta Cana, it is extremely rare. Here, no size, no pretension, but quality equipment and a well managed organisation. A total of 25 colourful buildings, in pink ochre and pastel blue, a swimming pool overlooking the sea, a flying trapeze, a large amphitheatre, two buffets, everything seems perfectly arranged and measured. Neither too little nor too much. It is a pity there is a lack of tropical vegetation. The Village was completely renovated in winter 2001 and redecorated by Estrella Salietti, a famous designer of Spanish origin who was inspired by the Caribbean colours. The result is astonishing: a true blending of cultures, namely Mediterranean, Caribbean and European with its colours of fuchsia, turquoise, white (the signature colour of the Club) and various shades of wood. The local materials are privileged, including the coralline, straw and wood. Tennis enthusiasts will not be disappointed: the Club Med could almost host a Grand Chelem tournament, with its 14 well-equipped and maintained tennis courts!
