Built in 1989, the May hotel's rooms were partially renovated in 2008. Everything in this 2-floor, rectangular building is really old-fashioned: colours, furniture, layout, making it all a bit dull. Fortunately the Cretan sun is there to warm up the atmosphere. The hotel reception is set in a large rectangular hall, where you will find the lobby bar and many sofas. A computer in a corner of the hall lets you surf on the web, and WiFi internet access is available in this area. There is a very dated stairway which goes out to the bar terrace where bamboo chairs with thick pink cushions await you for a nice drink in the sunshine. The pool is big for the size of the hotel and there is a small pool dedicated to children (a total of 915 m3), which is good because the public beach, which can be reached via a little pathway, is 1,000 ft away (deckchairs and parasols are available for a fee). High hedges surround the small and very green estate in which you can hear the birds singing. The ground is entirely covered in grass on which a few outdated deckchairs are laid out.
